Shelby

It's been weeks. 

Weeks of the same routine.

-Wake up

-Get dressed
-Go to work
-Act happy
-Go home

-Go to bed

I hate it.

Every time I see Max I'm reminded that I like him.

But I don't want to break our relationship. 

I like him too much for that.

I got up out of bed and started my routine.

Again.

Except this time was different.

Cory knocked on my door.

"Shelby? It's me Cory. I just want to tell you that work is cancelled today and that we are having a party at Adam's tonight."

"Thank you." I said loud enough for him to hear.

The footsteps gradually softened.

I finished with my hair, make-up and clothes, and sat back down on my bed. I ended up watching Netflix all day.

***PARTY TIME***

It was 6 o'clock now. Time for the party.

I hopped out of bed and walked downstairs to be met by Ross, Max, Tim and Cory.

"Let's go!" Ross said.

I ended up sitting in the front of a very loud car ride.

I couldn't even make out what they were saying.

Something about Vine or Dat Boiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. (XD)

I don't know.

I was on Instagram the entire time anyway.

We don't live very far away from Adam's house, so in what felt like ten minutes, we were there.

I carefully stepped out of the car and into Adam's house. 

There was music, people, and food. The entire house was open, too.

Since it was still light out, there were people in the lake and 'shooting hoops' outside. I walked outside and saw Liz, Sasha, and Addie.

Addie walked up to me first. "Hey girl! How are ya' doing?"

"I'm doing well. Just tired."

"Same." Liz said.

"Have you thought of any names?" I asked.

"Names for what?" Ross joined in our conversation.

I quickly thought of something. "A new Minecraft Roleplay series character."

"Oh neat. What's the Roleplay about?"

"We don't know yet. We're just thinking of names and the backstory of the character now." Sasha said.

"Oh. I'll leave you all to it." Ross said as he left.

"Are you ever going to tell him?" Sasha said.

"Like I told Shelby, I'll tell him when I start showing."

"Aww."

After talking for what seemed like hours, it was dark and the fire place was just lit. (ayyyy)

Most of the people from the party left, but some stayed. 

Mainly because we had work tomorrow and they need this thing called sleep.

Granted I need it too, but I don't have a ride back.

We all gathered by the fire and talked. We talked about life and work.

Until Sasha pulled me aside.

"Shelby?"

"Yes?" I asked.

"Ross is onto Liz. He knows something's up, he just doesn't know what it is."

I sighed. "I'll tell Liz to tell Ross."

She sat back down on the cold chair while I motioned Liz to come closer.

She sat up and waddled over to me. "What?"

"Ross knows something's up."

"Really? What do I do?"

"I think you should tell him."

"Okay. I'll do it tonight."

We sat down on separate chairs together.

"Geez what is it with people getting up lately?" Adam asked.

We all laughed.

"Actually, I just want to announce something." Liz started.

I looked at her and smiled, trying to encourage her to go on.

"I'm pregnant." She said.

Everyone was silent for a second, taking in the new information. But right afterwards, there was cheering and clapping and people going in for hugs.

After that, I zoned out.

Well, I guess some people call it passing out.
