Max

Adam was finally off of his break from the offices. So, now we could actually get into the work space.

Shelby and Ross took one car and Tim, Cory and I took a different car.

Cory was driving and I was in the back.

"So, Max. What is the deal between you and Shelby?"

"What do you mean?" I turned to Tim.

"You two have been acting all buddy buddy since we've gotten to Seattle. Also, I saw her up in your face like 3 days ago."

"So?"

"I think you like her."

I think I do also. But she just got out of a bad relationship.

"No, I don't."

"Sure..." Tim turned to look at me.

"I don't!"

"Maybe you don't like her, but she probably likes you." Tim turned back around to face the front.

Shelby

Ross started the car to drive us to the offices.

"So, how are you doing?" Ross asked me.

"Good. You?"

"Good." He sighed. "There's no easy way to say this."

"What is it?"

"I know what happened to you and Tyler."

I felt myself tense up.

"Shelby, why didn't you tell me? I asked you 1 year ago when I came to visit."

"I didn't know how." I wiped a tear before he could notice I was crying. "Let's change the topic."

"Okay. Let's talk about Max."

"What about him?"

"He seems nice."

"You guys were friends before me. You should know that."

"He seems nice to you."

"What does that mean? It's not like we're dating or anything."

He glances towards me.

"You think we're dating." I said quietly. Then I noticed that Ross wasn't paying attention to the road.

"Eyes on the road." I said cautious of the road in front of us.

He turned to look at the road. "I just don't want anything bad to happen to you."

"What are you implying?"

"He could hurt you. Simple as that."

"Why would he do that?" I asked him, suddenly curious.

"I don't know. All I know is that he could."

After minutes of silence, we made it to the offices.

Adam told us to meet him in front of the building when we get there. Luckily, we all made it at the same time.

"Hey guys!" Adam said walking towards us.

"Hey dude." Tim said.

Just then, thunder clashed through the air. It made me jump.

I almost fell off of my crutches.

"Let's go inside, I think it might rain soon."

We followed Adam inside of the giant building.

"Let me give you a tour. So right here-" Adam pointed to a lady in a desk. "-is the desk lady. You're going to hand her your card, which I will hand you later, and she is going to check you in. She is also going to unlock the door for 5 seconds, which should be enough time to open the door."

He opened the door for all of us. It led to an open hallway. It kind of reminded me of an intersection. You could go right or left, or forward or backward.

"First, we are going to turn to the left. This is where the challenges are going to be. There are also some offices over here." He opened the door to one.

It was a decently big room, especially for an office.

"This is where Jake is going to work. He is going to be the 'office wizard'. He's going to build sets and do the thumbnails for the videos." (I don't know what he does in the offices, sorry)

Thats all for this chapter, sorry! I was going to make it longer, but I didn't update in a while, so here it is!

Congratulation.
