Thorin's Memories: The Girl He Didn't Know He Knew

Spark's P.O.V.

Thorin seemed like he was in a better mood. He wouldn't let me out of his sight though.

He did seem uneasy though.

"You ok?" I asked softly.

"There is something you should know, but only when you figure out your feelings for me will I be able to tell you. I don't want to pressure you into a decision." he said, a hurt look in his eyes, like someone betrayed him.

"Ok, I'll hurry then." I smiled, hugging him. I'm just glad I got my best friend back. He acted a bit different,  but not a lot. He would still pick on me.

When it started to get dark, we set up camp by a cliff. I was sitting on the edge, waiting for Thorin. I had come up with my answer, and he was on his way over.

Thorin's P.O.V.

I hope she has an answer for me, I really do. It's been bothering me all day, the feeling that she was being watched. Whoever it was was not watching me. They were watching her, which bothered me more than if it was me.

I walked over to talk to her where she was sitting on the edge of the cliff.

"Made up your mind yet?" I asked, putting an arm around her as I sat down.

"Yes," she smiled, slipping an arm around my waist like she used to, as well as laying her head on my shoulder. I haven't seen that smile in a long time. I missed it.

"And?"

"I love you."

"Wait, what?"

"Isn't that the answer you wanted?"

"Of course,  I just wasn't expecting it."

"Ok, just checking." She seemed to relax a bit.

"Spark?"

"Yes Thorin?" she whispered.

"Would you like your necklace back?"

"Please, and I'm sorry I lost it. It was taken from me."

"It's fine Spark. I don't mind." I whispered in her ear.

She turned to face me as I pulled the necklace from my pocket and slipped it around her neck. She kind of shivered at my touch. After she had the necklace on, I kissed her. Everyone around the campfire fell silent, then started cheering. Spark went to pull away because of it, but I wouldn't let her.

When we went back to the others, Kili had a smirk on his face, so I glared at him. Spark elbowed me for some reason.

Spark's P.O.V.

Thorin is way to harsh on Kili. He's an absolute sweetheart,  and Thorin can't see it because he chose Fili as his favorite. I get along with Kili better than Fili. Kili would be willing to help anyone at any time.

I sat by Thorin by the fire, and about 10 minutes later, I went to bed. My roll was away from the others, me being a girl and all. About an hour later, Thorin came over with his roll, and laid it a few feet from mine.

I was already asleep actually. All I know is that when I woke up, I was somewhere other than when I fell asleep.

I woke up with Thorin's arm around my waist. I also had my head on his chest, which was, in fact, quite comfortable. I just laid there with my eyes closed, waiting for him to wake up. The two of us were always the first up.
