Charlotte was never one for mornings. She despised the early risers and despised school for being one of them. She never understood why people would want to wake up from their dreams. She would rather be in her dreams anyway.

She opened her eyes to the sunlight; squinting and frowning from the brightness. When her eyes came to focus, she scanned her room. Her dresser was in a corner along with a bookshelf on one side and a mirror on another. The mirror was directly facing her. She saw her tangled dark brown hair and her scrunched up purple sheets next to her. She had been tossing and turning again. It was probably some sort of nightmare but of course like everything else, she couldn't remember.

Just when she got out of her bed, her sister came rushing into the room.

"CHARLOTTE!CHARLOTTE! HURRY UP!"

" Shut up, Rachel! And why do I need to hurry up?!"

" We got ten minutes till the bus is here!"

Charlotte looked at her clock. "6:35"Oh shit! She ran to her dresser and grabbed the first pair of jeans she saw and picked up a shirt from her floor, smelt it(One more day), and started to change. Charlotte also grabbed her necklace from her nightstand. It was in the shape of a hexagon with a jewel centered in the middle. She got it from her mother, which was given to her by her mother, and so on. It was apparently a good luck charm.

"Why didn't you wake me earlier?" she asked Rachel.

"Well, I was going to but I got caught up watching 'Sushi and Roll' and then I fell asleep, and then I woke up and saw the clock and yea... DID YOU KNOW IT WAS SUSHI'S BIRTHDAY!?"

"Is Dan awake?" Charlotte asked, while yawning.

"Yea, mom's got em. He kept crying last night. Freaking child... Keeping me up when I have a test to take in the morning of which I am probably going to fail!"

Rachel flopped on her bed.

"Freaking child..." muttered Charlotte with a grin as she ruffled her sister's hair.

Rachel threw a pillow at her and Charlotte tripped over it.

"Rachel! I'm going to kill you!" Charlotte ran towards her as Rachel ran down the hall.

"MOM! Charlotte is being a freaking child!" Rachel yelled laughing.

Charlotte caught up to her and tickled her sides.

"You guys mind not making so much noise!? I finally got Dan to fall asleep!" mom said in a yelling/whisper.

"Sorry mom, but Dan kept me up to!" said Rachel.

Mom stared at Rachel for the longest time with her tired eyes.

Thankfully, Charlotte saw the bus out the back window.

"Alright, bus is here. Lets go before we are incinerated Rachel."

She saw her mother smile as she closed the door and Charlotte embraced the day.

-----------------------------------------------

Pollen ran in her nose and she sneezed as her papers all of a sudden dropped and got caught in the wind that just happen to shift away from her. She grumbled about life as she stuffed her notes in her binder and ran towards the bus. The doors opened and Rachel and Charlotte ran up the steps.

"Good morn', third seat on the left," Mr. Geezer, the bus driver said. He happened to be a perfectionist and insisted that if the kids did not conform to his OCD type deal, they wouldn't be riding his bus for the rest of their lives.

"Jerret! Move your ass a good two inches from the edge thank you! "Mr. Geezer yelled.

Charlotte saw the kid move as he rolled his eyes.

"Hey Charlotte," whispered a voice to her right.

She turned and saw Priscilla with her long blonde hair all over the place.

"Sup, Prissy. How has your morning been?"

"Eh, can't complain. My fingers hurt though. My grandma insisted that I finish my crochet project last night. I swear, I am going to get arthritis before I am 20."

Charlotte laughed, "Well, try not to tighten your fingers when your crocheting. Then you can go on for hours without excruciating pain."

"Yea, I'll try that. So are we still having that class meeting today.?"

"Yep, the last one before we get out for Christmas. I just wanted to go over some things before we-"

"Ugh, Not another class meeting..." Richard said from behind.

Charlotte turned around, "Well then you do not have to go. But it's only going to be five or ten minutes."

"Fine, I might make an appearance," Richard sighed.

Charlotte turned around and kept her mouth shut. She was already stressed everything else and she just needed to get through the day.
