It's been two months since I woke up. Two months since the nightmare of SAO.
I remember vividly how my hp had dropped to zero.
"You Are Dead" it read. Yet here I am. It's not fair. Why did eveyone before me have to die and somehow I lived? I don't get it? Is this some kind of joke?
"Stop it with that face" Klein said nudging me. We were at Agil's bar called the Dicey Café. It was small and quaint. I loved it.
We used the place as an escape to meet up with eachother. We spent so long in the game its hard to ignore the fact that any of us existed. So here we are.
"What face" I pouted. His face flushed pink and I laughed.
"Honestly, I think you're the girl in your relationship" Agil smirked at Klein.
"That's what I tell him" I smiled triumphantly. Two months since Klein and I started dating. Dating. I love the sound of that.
He may be a bit rough around the edges, but everyone has their flaws. We experienced hell together. If I was stuck anywhere I would be glad if it were with him.
The door creaked open and Kazuto walked in.
"Well if it isn't my favorite gloomy child!" I sang jumping up and hugging him. He stiffened surprised but laughed when he realized it was only me.
"Rei, I feel like you've gotten taller" he said comparing his height to mine. I was a good five years older than Kazuto, but my height was normal for that.
"Maybe you're just getting shorter. With your pessimistic attitude maybe you're growing process flipped the switch to reverse" I stuck my tounge out.
"C'mon now that was mean" Agil chuckled. I shrugged my shoulders and dragged the drama king to the bar before sitting down again.
The atmosphere quickly got tense.
"So the picture, what's the deal with it?" Kazuto asked.
"Well you see, It's a bit of a long story. Ever heard of this?" Agil asked sliding something down the bar. I peered over to look at it.
"Alfheim online?"
"It's an MMO made for the amusphere, successor to the nerve gear" he stated. "The name supposedly means land of the fairies"
"Fairies?" Kazuto sighed staring at the case.

I sat in Klein's living room staring at the nerve gear.
My parents yelled at me for ever pulling a stunt like that. Little did they know I had no idea I was going to be trapped in Aincrad. So I ran away... and haven't looked back since.
"Are you really going to do it?" Klein asked. His expression was filled with worry.
"It's okay. I'll only dive in for a little while. I'll be back before you know it" I smiled. He sighed and rested his chin in the palm of his hand.
"I'll be here waiting" he muttered.
I pulled on the helmet and my heart started racing. This is different. It's not the same game. I'm going to be okay.
