I woke up and couldn't help but grin. This girl was just perfect. Her small body was pressed against mine as I played with her fingers.
So small. They're adorable. Someday I'd love toput a ring on that finger. When I work up the guts to anyway.
The clock had already read noon. The meeting wasn't until this afternoon but I knew we should at least wake up.
I poked her cheek and she muttered profanities under her breath.
"Jeez Rei you're so mean to me" I whined. She rolled over and subconsciously hugged me.
"Stop being a woman already" she mumbled. I laughed and sat up causing her to flop back down on the bed.
"Wake up it's twelve already" I yawned climbing out of bed and walking into the kitchen.

I opened the refrigerator and my heart sunk in my chest.

"Couldn't you be a bit less cheerful in the morning? Seriously" she groaned walking in. She inspected what we had an sighed.
"Nothing. Feel like shopping?" She asked. I shook my head and she laughed.
"Me neither. I suggest going back to sleep" she grinned sheepishly collapsing onto the couch.

"I hate these things with a burning passion!" I laughed at her reaction. The guys from my guild would be there as well so we could all catch up.
But that wasn't even the beginning of it. Liz, Silica, Agil, Asuna, even Kirito's sister apparently.
We walked in and immediately she turned into the marshmallow she is in public.
"Lion cub!" Agil smirked from the bar.

"Look who's quite the pessimist today" I muttered in her ear. Her cheeks turned red and she stormed over to Silica.

"Long time no see" the guys chuckled. I missed spending time with them. Not that the two years wasn't enough, we just needed time to talk about non-game related topics.
"I see Rei's as riled up as ever" Dale laughed. I scratched my head blushing.
"Oh you used to act so macho. This girl's made you go soft" Issin stated drinking a soda. I rolled my eyes and glanced over at her.
She was smiling like she was actually having a good time. I was glad. She needed this. We all did.
The door opened and Asuna, Kirito, and Suguha walked in.
"Don't tell me we're late" he uttered awkwardly.
This is how it needed to be. Friends together after school and work. Talking about normal things in a normal world. But that's been stolen from us, yet I don't think I can name one person who would change what happened.
