Part 4 - To Tell The Truth

(Your POV)

I ran into my room, I'm not one to overreact like that but something just reminds me of my past, that face, that name... Wait a minute! That was Edward! It couldn't be, please some say it wasn't. Oh no... I feel the rivers start falling down my cheeks.
Then there's a knock at my bedroom door, I freeze up and stop quietly wailing. It's a soft knock but made a sound like metal and wood colliding. I say nothing.
"Hey, I wanna say sorry for earlier okay, I'm sorry." It was Edward. I stayed silent and then he eventually left. I sat still, curled up in a ball in the furthest corner to the door. When I heard footsteps walk away from the door I got up, walked out of the room and down the corridor only to bump into the man I need to talk too. Mr Hughes. He looks down at me and gives me a soft smile.
"Hey kiddo, how you feelin'," He asked but I didn't reply. I stared at the ground and twiddled my fingers.
"Dad, I think I'm ready to tell you about what happened earlier." I said nervously. I'd never told anyone my feelings before so this was a new feeling for me.
"Are you sure? You don't have to if your not comfortable with it yourself-"
"No I'm ready. It's time you know." I interrupted him. He took my hand and we walked into the now clean living room.
Then it all came out. I told him how I was raised by Edward Elric and his family. I told him how my parents died and who they were and I also told him why I ran away. He look shocked, sad, disappointed and confused all at the same time. I started to cry again, feeling that he might hate me now but instead, I found myself in a warm hug and a kiss placed on my forehead.
"Hey, hey. Shhhh, don't cry. Whatever happens now, I will always see you as my own daughter, ok. I saw the real side of you for years and years and I don't think your gonna change now. I still see you as my little girl." He whispered gently into my ear, rocking my side to side in an attempt to calm me down. I eventually did and looked up at him.
"Daddy I love you!" I said giving him a tight hug.
"I love you too, (Y/N)." He says in reply. I the get up and walk back to my room shouting goodnight to Mr and Mrs Hughes. I then walk into Elisia's room and kiss her goodnight too. I then go to my room, change into my PJs and flop on to the bed. I then start to fall asleep. Having a dream of my family, my New Family here with a loving mother and father and a beautiful little sister. I could never ask for anything different.
