This morning went well, at least that's what Lincoln and Chris are making it seem like. I really hope Chris will eventually quit. Granted he isn't doing anything hardcore or deathly, but what's to stop him from never doing it? I'd rather act now rather than later. Tiarna was still over and it was about dinner time now. We had invited Jordan over - though he kindly declinded, saying he had something to do. So it was simply just us, sitting in my room and talking about what's been happening while eating ramen noodles.
"So, Renee, do you have an eye-in for anyone yet?"
"Not really."
"I call bullshit. Come on, ever since you and that girl broke up, you haven't liked anybody since."
"Yeah, well, school needs to come first."
"School can come first."
"Relationships isn't my top priority right now, Tiarna."
Two years ago I was with this girl, Lauran, and we were dating for about a year. I liked her, I really did. But we eventually broke up, which I guess I should have expected. After that, it took me awhile to get over her and I haven't really had an interest in anybody since. She moved to England not long after that, anyways. That was actually why we broke up, because we wouldn't have been able to contact eachother at the boarding school out there. I sighed, looking at my friend, then looking down at my noodles.
"Well, alright then, but you need to tell me the moment you like someone."
"I will, now your time to spill."
"Fine, I like this kid Mathia."
"That new kid?"
"Well no shit."
"What does he look like, I need to know."
"Well, black hair with this red tint-clearly not dyed. He often wears cargo pants, which is so fuck boy-ish but I swear he's not. At least I don't think so from our few conversations. If he is, than oh well, I guess. T-shirts with an unzipped dark blue or black sweater. He's not much taller than me, I'd say, five-ten or five-eleven."
I looked at her, wide-eyed. My mouth hung open, and I wasn't sure what to say. You remember that boy from class on the first day that Vivian tried to get to like her? Well, Tiarna might have something coming to her because she accurately described this boy. Vivian didn't always enjoy sharing, especially not boys. That's including crushes, and that's always trouble. I knew I needed to tell my friend, but she seemed so love-struck, but it's best she found out sooner rather than later.
"Hey, Renee, you're completely white, are you alright?" She asked, putting her hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah, uh, sorry. I was just -" I took a moment, "- thinking about something."
"Which is?"
"You remember that story I told you about Vivian on the first day?"
"Trying to be all goodie-two-shoes?"
"Yeah."
"What about it?"
"Mathia was that boy. At least I'm pretty sure. I don't know for sure, but it sounds just like him."
"Oh." She took a moment, taking a bite of her noodles. "Oh." She repeated, thinking. "Well that means he's nice right?" I laughed and nodded.
"Yes, Tiarna, he's really sweet."
"Well, than whats there to lose?"
"Your sanity?"
"I lost that years ago, are you kidding me?"
