It's been a few days since our friend went missing - and none of us are feeling any better. If any, we're feeling much, much worse. By this point, they believe she's dead. I didn't want to believe it, and I still don't want to believe it. We haven't had a murder here in many, many decades. Last night they checked through the woods. Big cliffs, the rivers, and even places majorly covered by bushes. I sat in my car, driving from Julian's house to school. Turns out he was sick, so it was just Tiarna, Dakota and myself. Like normal, I parked down a street neighbouring the school before turning the car off and getting out. Shutting the doors, we all walked to school in silence. Not many people were aware of what happened with Zama, and they wanted to keep it that way. They didn't want to start a panic, so her parents simply said that she was on an emergency vacation to her grandparents. It was believable, since it's happened many times before.
Getting to my locker, I sighed, looking at the crowded halls with unknowing people. It hurt to know that so many people weren't aware of my friends disappearence, though I suppose not telling anybody was the best idea. Mathia walked up to me and Tiarna, giving us a smile and wave. He wasn't aware that Tiarna and I have been trying to avoid him since that day, since we weren't sure what to make of his statement. Since that day, Vivian hasn't been allowed to school, and she's stuck at home until this all passes.
"Hey, girls!" He said, leaning back inbetween me and Tiarna. Tiarna rolled her eyes and let out a sigh. It was almost unbelievable that she was actually annoyed with him, though it seemed like she still had a bit of a thing for him. Looks seem to be everything, right. I myself though, sighed.
"What do you want, Mathia?" I asked, looking at him with deadly eyes. Not many people could stand when I gave them that look, and it seemed to work on him since he stood up straight and started to get figity.
"I just wanted to see how you girls were doing." He responded, looking between me and Tiarna.
"Well we're doing as good as we can in this situation, anything else? No? Alright, now if you could please keep moving-" I was interrupted by him slamming his lips into mine. My eyes widened, and I pushed him back, whiping my lips. "What the he-" I began yelling when I saw Mr. Zed stick his head out. I swore under my breath and looked at Tiarna to get him. Mathia was smirking, and I cringed. Tiarna began asking Mr. Zed questions, bringing him inside the classroom. Everybody was staring at us, for mulitple reasons. I hadn't been with anyone for a very long time, and I was just 'kissing' one of the new kids? Probably a big one. Once I knew Mr. Zed was gone, I turned my attention back to him. "What the hell, Mathia?! You don't just go and kiss somebody, are you stupid?!" I yelled, anger boiling up inside of me.
"But-"
"No, would you quit it?! You lie, and you do things without permission. You're such a creep!"
"Babe, stop! We don't have to keep hiding this from people." He said soothingly, rubbing my shoulders. I flintched away, staring at him as if to say, "What the fuck?"
"Don't call me babe, get the hell away from me!" I screamed, stepping around him and walking to the closest classroom which was Ms. Stwerns. Walking inside, I let out a loud sigh. Everybody was gathering around, blocking the door, and continuing their chatter about what just happened. That's when I heard the most believable tone I've ever heard from a liar.
"Guys, guys, we're just practicing a play. I'm so sorry if you guys believed it, but we needed the reaction to make sure we were good." I saw him put his hands up, and some people let out a breath of relief before leaving to do their own thing. Eventually, everybody had moved away, including Mathia himself. Can we take a guess as to what class I'm not going to? Because I sure can. The bell rang, and I quickly grabbed my bag that I put on the ground and headed to Ms. Speare's class that sat at the end of the hallway. Getting into class, I sat beside a friend I had made; Dianne. We sat at the same table, and she was new and didn't seem to have many friends when the year started. Though now she has tons, and doesn't often talk to me outside of class because of how busy she's seemed to have gotten. Soon after I got to class, the anthem started playing and we were listening to the announcements.
