Ch. 17 : 2nd Date

~Miyah~

After I hung up , I went to take a 20 minute shower .

When I got out , I wrapped a towel around myself & went to my closet . I looked through all my clothes until I found the perfect dress .

I struggled zipping the dress so I called Emani .

"What ?" She asked walking into my room .

"Help me , please ." I smiled .

She rolled her eyes & helped me . "Where you going anyway ?"

I smirked & said , "Out ."

"Duhh , bitch . Clearly . Where tf is out ?"

I sucked my teeth & rolled my eyes . "Somewhere you not ."

"Okay , Miyah . But I bet you'll tell me allllll about it when you get back ." she said rolling her eyes .

"Yeah yeah , whatever ."

"Yeah yeah my ass ," she said leaving my room .

That lil girl get on my nerves .

Anyway , I went to do my hair did it like (picture above) .

Once I finished with everything , I text Terrell & told him I was ready .

~Terrell~

I ain't never been this nervous to take a girl out .. But Miyah has this effect on me . Its crazy . Haven't even known her that long but she doing things to me .

After she text me & told me she was ready , I did a last minute check on myself .

"Finessed ," I smiled .

I waited a few minutes til I left to get her .

I pulled up at her house & called her .

~Phone Call~

Miyah : Hello ?

Me : Hey , you ready ?

Miyah : Yeah ..

Me : Aright , I'm outside .

Miyah : Aright .

A minute or 2 later she came out looking beautiful as ever . I got out & opened the passenger side for her .

"Thank you , Rel ." she smiled .

"No problem ," I said closing her door . I walked around to my side & got in .

"You look amazing by the way ," I complimented pulling out her driveway .

"Thank you ." she smiled . "You look good , too ."

"Well , you know how I do ," I joked wiping the fake dust off my shoulders .

~Miyah~

I laughed at him . He so goofy & cocky .

"Yeah whatever . You need to be wiping that lint off ya head ."

He looked in the mirror , looking for lint but didn't see it .

"Where you see lint at , girl ?"

"Right here ," I said pulling it out the side a lil closer to the back of head .

"Well that's why I ain't see it .. That shii was in the back ," he said .

"Oh well ." I shrugged . "Anyways , have you called ya people to handle the situation ?"

"Nahh .. I'll call em after dinner . But let's not worry about that right now tonight we focusing on getting us back on track ."

That put lil butterflies in my stomach . I already know he's gonna tell me so much & we'll eventually tell each other how we really feel . & sheeeeesh I'm going to be stuttering like hell . Gahhhhh I'm nervous now .

He grabbed my hand looked at me , & said , "Miyah , you good ?"

I swallowed hard & said , "Y-Yeah .. I'm f-fine ."

See this bs . Ian neva been nervous around any male except him . This that shii he be doing to me 😒 . Stuttering like a fool & shii .

"Nahh . What wrong ? Yo hands getting sweaty & you stuttering . Tell me , Miyah ," he said sternly , looking into my eyes .

"I will ." I smiled . "Just not right now ."

He nodded & pulled into the restaurant .

Once again , he got out & opened my door for & helped me out .

"Thanks again ."

"Ain't no thang but a chicken wang ." he smiled . Causeing me to laugh .

We walked in with his arm around me & went to find a seat . Luckily we got the last booth .

Once we were seated & content , Terrell started talking .

~Terrell~

"Aright . Miyah , I like you , a lot . & I know I big time messed up by doing what I did & I really hope I can be forgiven because I really regret it .. & to be honest with you , I only did it because she told me you was only using me to get clout so I wanted to hurt you like that hurt me . Swea that was the worst mistake of my life . I almost lost my best friend for being petty , childish , & believing her . I should have known better . But , Miyah , can I please have another chance ? I promise I'll do right by you ," I pleaded .

"Hello , my name is Donna , & I'll be your waitress tonight . Can I start you off with drinks ?" A lady maybe in her early 20's said .

"Yes , I'll have a sprite ," Miyah said .

"Alright ," she smiled writing it down . "& you , sir ?" she looked at me .

"Water , please ."

She nodded while writing it down . "Alright , I'll be back with your drinks in a few minutes ." she said .

We nodded & she left . Then I looked at her with puppy dog eyes which made her giggle .

"Terrell , you hurt me bad & we wasn't even dating but I've liking you for a while & when we started talking & getting to know each other , I started liking you soooo much more . To be honest , I've missed you , too . Ya smile , jokes , cockiness , just everything . I know you'd never intentionally hurt me again . & I usually don't do this , but , Terrell , yes I'll give you another chance ."

I got too happy so I slid over to her side & gave her a big hug . It felt good .

~Miyah~

Being back in his warm , cozy embrace felt so good . I wanted to stay in it forever until the waitress came back & cleared her throat . Which made him let go & us look at her .

"Sorry to interrupt ," she smiled , "are you ready to order ?"

I smiled & said , "Yes . I'll have the baked chicken . Well done . Over rice ."

"Yeah .. I'll have that , too ." Terrell said .

She smiled & said , "Alright ."

Once she left , Terrell looked at me all goofy & said , "What ?" while laughing .

"You like me , you like me , you really really like me ," he teased .

"You're so childish ." I laughed .

"Yeah yeah but you liiiiike it ," he teased more getting closer to me .

"Whatever , Rel ," I said laughing again .

"Amiyah ?" He looked at me seriously . He rarely calls me by my real name ..

"Yes ?" I asked .
