Chapter 10~Keeping Her Safe

Niall~
this girl is so much more than I thought. she's been through so much. I'm such a jerk, I hit her. I. Hit. Her. I hold her in my arms and watch her fall asleep, and I do the same soon after.

~the next day~
Mercy~
I got out of the hospital with a rehab magazine and my hand in Niall's. I just don't know where we go from here. Niall is an amazing guy but when he hit me.... just I don't know what to think about it.

we get home and I walk straight to
the refrigerator for good food. I grab frozen chicken nuggets out of the freezer and pop them in the oven.
"hey Mercy?" I hear and i turn my head to Niall.
"hmm?"
"I think we need to talk."
I sigh.
"I'm listening." I tell him and sit on a stool at the counter. He sits on the stool next to me.
"so I've been thinking... and we'll I have new rules and more changes." he tells me.

"ok, go ahead." I tell him.

"ok so first off, I'm buying you a car. You can go around to places, whatever you really want, but my restrictions on leaving are; you must be back by 11:00. I get the spare key. and I must know where you are at all times and who you are with."

I nod my head and signal for him to continue.

"The new rules are almost the same. I always know if there is something is wrong, blah, blah, blah. the 2 new rules are I must know if you have an urge to drink alcohol or do any drugs. and you're home on Sundays, just for 'our time' if you know what I mean."

"ok, I guess I'm ok with all the rules but you do know today is Sunday?" I ask.
"I know." he says and stands up. He leans close to me and kisses me. the kiss starts to heat up.
"let's take this upstairs" he whispers.
