(Sean O’pry as Jay Calvin)

Mia's POV

I finally arrived at home but I was extremely tired. It was very late so as soon as I was in the room I dropped unto the bed and was unconscious immediately. When I woke up I felt rejuvenated and relaxed but I couldn't help but feel disappointed by the fact that I didn't had another dream like the one I had on the plane because I thought the dream meant something. Like God was communicating with me. Why else would I see him in a dream giving me a command? I prayed that if God really was communicating with me he should please show me what to do or lead me in the correct path.

I took a shower and got dressed in a simple T-shirt and a skinny jeans and went downstairs. Mom had already made breakfast and was downstairs with Jay, my brother. I guessed dad had already gone to work.“Wow sis, you're up early,”Jay commented.

“What time is it exactly?” I asked.

“ 8:21.”

“Dad don't normally leave so early so why now?” I inquired curiously.

“Yeah, dad got a new job at a huge company. He's not a top worker but it pays more than his previous job and M since you're here I wanted to go down to a diner you want to come with?”he asked.

“Yeah sure,” I answered.

Jay and I took the bus which surprisingly never had many people that day but the ride was still long and uncomfortable. I was so relieved when we got off I could've prayed for hours. Yeah, I loved praying that was what I did when I was happy, sad, angry, disappointed and basically every other emotions that I ever showed. We walked a short while after we got off to reach the diner. It was almost empty except for about six or so persons. I guessed that it was a new diner, one because I didn't know it and two because of the amount of people who were their especially at the time when business should be the fastest. We took our seats at the back where we could see outside. People were walking, socializing and I even saw a couple kissing.

“This place is always empty right?” I asked.

“Yeah that's why I love it here the peace and quiet.”

We made our orders and then started talking about how we spent our summers. I told him about gramps and grams and how fun they were I even told him I went to a catholic church. We became so caught up in our conversation that we didn't even realize that the few persons who were here had left and the only other persons that were their except us were the staff members.

“Since we are the only ones here and we've already eaten do you think you can please show me where dad works.”

“OK, come on we'll walk.”

He left the money on the table and we left. We walked along the street hand in hand. I was glad Jay and I were close must siblings. We stopped at a super huge building, called “Hernandez Inc.” I had never been at this part of the city, it was more for the richer people so I didn't know this company.

“Do you think we can go visit him now or did we have to call ahead earlier.”

I noticed Jay was just staring at the building with an angered expression.

“What's wrong?” I asked, but it didn't look like he heard.

“I don't think dad should be working here, but he said he has to so he can provide more for us,” Jay responded proving that he actually heard me.

“Why don't you think he should be working here,”I inquired.

“Because Hernandez Incorporation is the company of Elijah Hernandez's dad.”
