Mia's POV

That night Jay and I stayed up waiting for dad to come home; we didn't bother to get mom involved. As soon as he was through the door Jay spoke,“Dad we need to talk.”

“Yes son as matter of fact we do and I'm glad that you are also here Mia,” dad smiled.

“Dad this us not a smiling matter,” I was the one that spoke this time in the most serious voice I ever spoken in. Not even I myself knew my voice could have been this serious. Dad looked taken aback. But I couldn't blame him, I would be too if I was in his position.

“OK. What's the problem ?” dad asked the smile from earlier disappearing completely.

“Dad we don't want to be too hard on you and your feelings but we are uncomfortable with your job,” I stated a bit calmer than at first.

“Actually that's what I wanted to talk to you about. Mr. Silvers son meet with me earlier at work and he told me he wanted both of you to join the company so he said he would set up a meeting at 9:00 am tomorrow morning with the three of us.”

“What! Why would he do that! Don't they already have enough workers!” I yelled then threw my hands over my mouth when I realized I had gotten too loudly. I didn't want to wake mom up and seeing as it wasn't a big house she could be easily awaken. Two pairs of eyes turned to me in surprise.

“I'm sorry,” I mumbled and their eyes left me. I didn't normally shout. You see what Elijah Hernandez did to me if it wasn't for him we wouldn't be having neither of these conversations; I needed to get him out of my head he had a very negative effect on my usual calm manner.

“ Yeah dad M is right don't they have enough workers ?” Jay asked much more calmer than I did.

“Not according to Elijah Hernandez,” that name made me mentally scowled in disgust,“he said the company needed new persons and he came up with an idea to use his father's employees
who have children who are adults.”

“Why would he do that ?” Jay asked confusion evident on his face.

“I think it's so the family will have more income and it's a wonderful idea. I'm just glad he picked me; you know Elijah Hernandez isn't as bad as you think.”

“Dad he is a--no the most dangerous mafia boss in the entire world of course he is as bad as we think,” Jay answered his voice raising a little. I knew he was angry.

“Yeah dad we should not associate with such people.”

“And neither should we judge people. If Saul could change to Paul so can Elijah Hernandez,” dad stated.

“Maybe the tabloids were wrong anyway you're both coming with me tomorrow no more argument,” he added and got up and left.

“There's no way he just compared Paul with Elijah,” I whispered to Jay as we walked to our rooms.

“And why do you think Elijah picked dad ? Do you think he knows we are his children and he wants to get us back by using dad?”

“Maybe. But there's no way he just picked him by mere luck,” Jay whispered. We went to our separate rooms and I fell asleep with the idea that I would have to officially meet the devils evil twin.

I was back in the garden dressed in the same clothing with the same glowing being who by now I think is God.

“You're on the right path my child go make your destiny but remember what I told you the first time.”

I was about to answer when I felt the sun gently kissing my cheeks urging me to wake up. I was a morning person so I gladly gave in and sat up with a broad smile on my face which sun disappeared when I remembered who I had a meeting with.
