Elijah's POV

It was the day after the disgusting incident and the weird dream just kept repeating over and over again in my head.

What the hell did it mean?

I knew it probably meant nothing and I was just beating up myself in vein but I couldn't help but strongly believe the exact opposite of that statement and I always went with what I believed.

True to their word Lyeo and Lyev did indeed come to my room earlier and woke me up in one of the most inhumane way ever, for the full story, which I knew I wouldn't be able to give without them getting upset with me but on the other hand I also knew if I kept it in the dark any longer they were bound to find out anyway and probably in a nastier, if that's the right word, way.

I made them promise to keep their cool first because no matter how heartless I seemed to be to everyone else around me without caring, they were my family and I couldn't allow anything or anyone to mess that up not even Mia.

I told them that even though I promised them that I wouldn't pursue Mia anymore I still want to and still will because I don't really know if I can stop and I gave them a vague synopsis of what happened at the bar.

They were quiet for a minute seeming to soak up everything I said before Lyev finally opened his mouth.

“You may be my best friend but if you hurt her I will personally castrate you.”

There wasn't a smile or even  a hint of one on his face neither was his tone playful nor teasing and I knew he was serious, it would be stupid of me to take him lightly. My eyes unconsciously drifted downwards to my pride and joy before looking back up at Lyev, whose expression did not once waver.

Lyeo nodded agreeing with his brother, he was also mimicking his brother's grim, hard and cold expression on both his face and body.

They headed to the door and Lyev exited but before Lyeo left he gave me the *I'm watching you sign* his posture and expression not fading away nor shifting in  the slightest bit.

After they left I found myself dozing off and not long after I was out. It wasn't like I had work or anything.

I woke up at three minutes to eleven. I showered and did my morning stuff before heading downstairs to whip up myself some breakfast. Based on the quietness of the house I knew the guys were out.

(Mia's POV)

I woke up later than usual with a smile on my face due to the fact that I had my definition of proper rest for the first time in a while.

As I sat up on my bed my mind without my permission wandered off to Elijah. He seemed different lately, in a better way that is.

“Mia breakfast is ready,” my mom yelled from downstairs, interrupting my thoughts.

“Ok mom,” I yelled back.

I showered and did my other  necessities before heading downstairs. Everyone was already there and had almost finished eating so I joined them.

“What are you guys planning to do today since you have no work?” mom inquired.

“I don't know about them but I plan to spend every second of today with my beautiful wife,” dad answered and kissed mom passionately causing her to giggle.

“No PDA, please,” I teased.

“Virgin eyes and mom and dad I don't want another baby sister so be careful.”

“If you have more of her I don't know how I'll cope, probably I'll just go mad,” he added pointing at me.

I scowled at him and stuck out my tongue.

“I can't wait for you guys to fall in love and get married and then it is going to be our turn to tease you,” dad announced.

Jay and I looked at them then each other before we answered together “We doubt we would be as whipped as you guys.”

This caused us all to burst out into laughter.

“We'll see,” mom said cuddling up to dad and placed a kiss on his cheek.

“I'm going take a walk,” I said leaving Jay with the love sick puppies.

“You know what I think I going to check out the new pizza place,” I heard Jay said from behind me.

            •           •            •

Jay and I separated a while back when he went to meet up with some of his friends to check out the pizza place. He wanted me to come with him but I had never felt that comfortable around his friends instead I felt weird and I didn't want to embarrass myself, so I declined his offer, politely of course.

That left me by myself enjoying one of my most favourite things on this earth, nature and what better place to do that than a park.

I was sitting on one of the benches enjoying the feeling of the wind blowing through my hair and on my skin as I watched kids of different ages and sizes enjoying themselves with both natural things and man-made objects, completely oblivious of the dangers, pressures and stresses of this earth.

I was so deep into the scenery that I didn't realize someone had sat beside my until I heard them ask,“captivating, isn't it?”

I almost had a mini heart attack when the voice and face of Elijah Hernandez greeted my ears and eyes, respectively. He was dressed casually in a Denim jeans, a Polo shirt and sneakers

“Yeah,” I answered a bit shakily, not completely over the fact that he had just appeared from nowhere, metaphorically speaking.

“You want to walk around for a bit?” he asked, surprisingly politely.

“Sure why not,” I answered. I mean what's the worst that could happen.

I got up and we began to walk making small talks along the way.

It was actually fun because he started to make jokes after awhile that always had me cranking up and persons passing by could easily mistake us as long lost friends catching up.

I can't believe this was the same guy people said was always cold and calculating and was heartless and that I had also once misjudged too quickly.

“Excuse me, I didn't catch what you just said,” I told him.

“I asked if you wanted a hotdog,” he replied with his hands tucked into his jeans pockets.

“No, I'm fine,” I stated in what I hoped was a polite tone.

“Come on I insist. It would be rude to refuse your boss,” he pouted like a little child and even I had to admit he looked cute.

“OK, probably just this once.”

“How do you like your hotdogs?”

“With everything,” I answered.

He joined the short line and came back a couple minutes later with two hotdogs coated with, mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, cheese and relish.

We found a couple seats nearby and sat down. I offered a silent prayer before I started to devour my hotdog.

“You have some mustard here,” Elijah said as he leaned closer, probably a little too close, to wipe the mustard off the corner of my mouth with the napkin.

When he was finished he put down the napkin but he kept his fingers on the spot the napkin had applied earlier.

I gasped audibly when I felt electrical shocks shoot up in the spot he was rubbing with his thumb.

Before I could do anything else his lips were on mine.
