Mia's POV

Elijah led me into what seemed like a mini theater, which was filled with food, drinks and movies and closed the door behind us.

“Lady's choice,” he pointed at the stack of movies. I stepped closer and began to search through them until I found one that caused a smile to form on my face for two reasons, number one it was one of my favorites and number two I didn't expect Elijah to have it. I picked it up and walked over to where he was sitting on a chair with his legs stretched out on the top of the chair in front him and held up the disk.

“I could have guessed,” he chuckled when he saw my movie choice.

“Can you blame me? This movie is awesome,” I have him a grin

“War Room it is.”

He put in the movie and I sat beside him, not because of his warmth or anything like that, but because the food was closer. He kept interrupting the movie and I was trying hard not to smack him in the head.

“I mean which thief runs from a lady that could be his great great great great great-grandmother?” he interrupted for at least the twentieth time.

“That's not only a huge exaggeration but she's not just a lady she's a lady that believes in God,” I exclaimed.

After awhile...“If she wanted to speak to the devil so badly, she should have called her husband.”

This time I actually managed to smacked the back of his roughly.“For your information he isn't the devil he just allowed the devil to use him for awhile, but then he turned his life around and acknowledged God, so you better not talk about him like that or you'll have to deal with me,” I huffed quickly in one breath.

“Is that suppose to make me feel threaten?” he laughed.

“Yes,” I mumbled lowly but to my misfortune he heard and it caused him to laugh harder. For the rest of the movie and the ones that followed that we ate whatever our hands could catch, joked and laughed, barely watching the movie. To tell the truth I enjoyed myself a lot which I didn't think was ever possible for me to do around Elijah. That night he did not act like the arrogant, cold hearted and stuck up criminal that everyone knew him to be instead he was this carefree, funny and jovial guy that seemed as if he couldn't hurt a fly. I was so caught up that I hadn't even realized that the time had gotten very late until he brought it up. I mentally cursed myself for not paying attention to the time and for getting so caught up. I told him I had to leave, but he refused to let me take a cab, he said he would drop me off instead. I tried to tell him he didn't have to drop me off and that I was alright with just taking a cab but it was like I was speaking to a deaf person or a person that was hearing impaired because it went through one of his ears and passed through the next. I finally had to agree to let him take me or I probably would have to sleep over because he locked the door with the key and placed the key in one of his back pockets and as if that wasn't enough he used his body to block the door so I couldn't even get too near to it. He smirked at me before turning around to open the door. He led the way and I followed behind him to ... wherever, I didn't know where we were going. It turned out he was leading the way to his garage, which was filled with my brother's and father's dream vehicles, many expensive and glamorous vehicles.

“Lady's choice.”

I didn't know anything about cars so it was probably was not a wise decision to let me pick.

“Are you sure because I know absolutely nothing about cars?” I questioned.

He nodded.

I started at the vehicles that were in my line of vision and finally one caught my eyes, it was a orange and black car and was by far the most beautiful vehicle I had ever seen in all my existence. I was so captivated by it I may have looked like a freak just staring at it. A chuckle snapped me out of my star struck state.

“The black and orange it is, good choice. Seeing how you clearly admire it I may just give it to you as a birthday present.”

He picked up the key then we head over to the car, the inside was just as elegant and perfectly styled as the outside. The starting of the journey was quiet with only the occasional sound of our breathing, but he broke the silence.

“So how was the date?”he asked staring at the road ahead.

“To tell the truth although I hate to admit it, it was quite fun.”

“You hate to admit it,” he pouted, his pout was literally impossible not to laugh at, at least for me it was.

“That's not how you pout,” I said in between laughter.

“Show me then.”

“Ok.”

He glanced at me for the first time since we entered the car to see how I pouted and went back to staring at the road.

“OK, I got it,” he stated and tried to pout again but ended up doing it worse that the first time and I couldn't help but to crack up again with laughter. The entire car ride was spent with me slowing Elijah how to pout and him doing it worse and worst every time and eventually me cracking up. I hadn't laugh so much in one day since I could remember and it was good to just let lose and allowed myself to have fun for awhile, it was also very healthy. This was exactly what I needed and who would have thought it would come from Elijah Hernandez.
