JORDAN'S POV
I groaned and trudged up to my bedroom. I hope my dad is okay.
I stepped inside and flopped down onto the bed. This day has been a total nightmare and I just want it to end.
I was just about to drift asleep when I heard someone sniffle at my window. My eyes shot open to see Jason making his way toward me. He plopped down at the edge of my bed, not saying a word.
I looked around me to notice that hours must've passed. The room was completely darkened. I sat up next to him and stared at the wall in front of us, filled with pictures hanging on the wall of my old life. My not so complicated life.
"I thought he was dead. Jessica told me she killed him." He looked at me, tears in his eyes.
I felt terrible for him. For years he believed his brother had been shot by the girl he once loved.
"He lied to me." I could hear the betrayal through his voice.
"He thought I was Jess. I went along with it and he actually believed me, that is until Kylie came along and called me by my real name." I giggled, trying to lighten the mood.
"What has he been doing all these years? Do you think he even misses me?"
I nodded. "Who wouldn't?"
He smiled and pecked my cheek. "I love you, Jordan. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me. You're beautiful and kind and way out of my league."
"So you think Jessica is beautiful, too? I don't know if you forgot, but we are twins."
"I think you're beautiful on the outside and the inside. Jessica's just beautiful on the outside. But trust me, she doesn't even compare to you. No girl ever will."
My face grew hot as he said every word. I've never had someone love me so much as Jason does. I don't think I want anyone else to love me as much as he does.
