Teague...... WAIT! Teague!?! No, no, no, no, no!! She wasn't supposed to like the guy that her grandmother had suggested. No!! Absolutely not.
This..this...very attractive man couldn't be the guy she fell for or found handsome. Who was she kidding, this guy was BEYOND handsome.
"Teague." She said his name aloud and tried to keep herself together.
He arched his perfect eyebrow as if sensing something was wrong.
"Excuse me." She said and pulled away from him. She decided staying away from him would be best.
Before she could release her hand from his, he grabbed it tighter and puller her closer. Now she was pressed up against him. She swallowed.
He leaned down and whispered, "Where do you think you're going?"
His voice made shivers run up her spine. What was he up to? Did her grandma tell him to do this? To seduce her? Because, he was really good at it. But it also made her angry.
She put her hands on his chest and pushed away from him. This time he let her. "Excuse me," she said, starting straight into his eyes and putting as much force as she could into her voice, "I have to go."

"Wake up Victoria, we have guests and you must have breakfast with them." Her grandmother's voice could be heard loud and clear.
Victoria had been awake for a while now, but was too lazy to get up. She had been replaying last night's events over and over again in her head. Especially the part with Teague.
She pulled the pillow over her head and groaned. "No. I'm too tired. Tell them that I choose to be a stuck up little brat and am not feeling well."
Genevieve gasped. "What kind of behavior is this? Just because you turned eighteen doesn't give you any right to be rude. Now get up young lady." She grabbed the pillow covering Victoria's head and pushed it aside.
"Ohh, the light!!" Yelled Victoria in the most sarcastic way possible and threw her hands to cover her face. "Still not getting up. And if I do I'm going to go have breakfast, privately, with Uncle James." With that she threw her arm over her eyes, blocking the light coming threw the wide balcony and windows and feigned sleep.
She felt the bed dip at the edge and guessed her grandmother had sat down. "Listen to me Vitoria. These people will not be staying long. Just for a few days and I want you to get to know them. They're very good people and it will be an advantage to get closer to the palace."
Anger bubbled inside of Victoria. This is all her grandmother ever thought about. The palace, the queen, the palace, the queen. She was fed up already. She shot straight up from her position and questioned her grandmother. She put as much disdain in her voice as she could. "Who are they?"
Genevieve looked uncomfortable, as if she knew that her granddaughter wasn't going going to like the answer. "The Eberharts."
She knew it. She just knew it. She knew that her grandmother wasn't going to let this go. She knew she wasn't going to be able to escape this one. She sighed in disappointment. She didn't want to disappoint her grandmother though, so she said what she said in the most polite way possible.
"I don't want to have breakfast with them, grandmama. Please, just tell them another time. I want to spend time with Uncle James before he runs off again for God knows how long. And I'm having tea with..." She paused and took a deep breath, "mother's old friend, Honoria, tonight. I'll have breakfast with them tomorrow. Now, will you please leave so I may get dressed?"
Genevieve nodded and decided that she would give her more time. She would extend the Eberharts' stay as long as possible. As long as it took for her to agree to their son, Teague. He was the perfect suitor and wouldn't disappoint. In many departments, might she add.
He would also be a great source to getting closer to the rest of the families in line for the throne. Genevieve hadn't forgotten her promise to her dead husband. She would do everything to make sure her side of the family claimed the throne. She would make sure the last name Harrington would be known worldwide.
And no one would stop her.
