I just wanted to say thank you so much for reading this fanfiction. The fact it's still getting readers a year later astounds me!
There has been some confusion over the ending - is Gale dead? Who did Katniss end up with?
Basically, I left it open to interpretation. It's up to you to decide what happened, and what happens next. I believe that when a love triangle as strong as the one Suzanne Collins created is made, the reader should be allowed choose for themselves. So Katniss could be going to meet Gale in the forest for real, or she could be living happily with Peeta and the children and meeting Gale's spirit.
I'm thinking about writing another fanfiction based on THG after Catching Fire is released in theatres. (Who's excited?!) So let me know if you'd be interested.
