Riley's POV.
I am sitting on my bed when Maya flys through my window. "Peaches!" I exclaim. "You look excited!" "I am in fact Ms. Riley." Maya replied.
"What happened to get you in such a mood?"
"Well... Lucas asked me out!" My face immediately dropped. I felt frozen. I couldn't move. I was just stiff. "Is that okay Riley?" Maya asked in a worried tone. I put on a fake smile and tried to sound excited "yeah! I am so happy for you!" I responded. Maya kept the worried face for a second before getting excited again. "Yeah we are gonna go to central park. I thought it was kinda lame but Ranger Rick wanted to do it so I gave in." I tried really hard to keep my fake smile up. "I hope you have the greatest time peaches." I told her and I meant it. I just wish she could have the greatest time with me. Not with the guy I like. Maya hugged me and I felt the greatest feeling ever as I hugged her back. To be honest I never wanted it to end I just wanted to stay here like this forever but then she released. "What should I wear? Gosh, I'm so nervous I am turning into you." I giggled genuinely at how adorable she was when she was nervous. "Relax, you always look beautiful. Even if you were wearing a dress made of mud and grass and your hair was frizzy and covered in dirt, you'd still look beautiful." I told her honestly tucking a piece of her gorgeous blonde hair behind her ear. She smiled and looked at me. "Thank you." She said nervously. "Just wear your usual Jeans and a T-Shirt it's not like you're going to a fancy restaurant or anything." I advised. Maya's phone beeped. "Lucas just texted me to wear something nice. Here, why don't we go shopping for something?" I nodded nervously not wanting to help her prepare for a date I didn't want her to go on. "Let's go." I grabbed her hand ignoring the feeling it gave me and dragged Maya out the window with me.
