Riley's POV.
I ran after her. But it was dark out and raining so it was difficult to see her. But I kept my eyes directly on Maya running right behind her until eventually, I lost her. I lost her. I lost my peaches. I lost Maya Penelope Hart. I lost the love of my life. "UGH!!!" I screamed in pure frustration. I quickly pulled out my phone. I called Katy first. She answered quickly. "I LOST HER!" I cried still not over it. It was silent for a few moments before I heard cries. I was still crying too, which Katy most likely heard. "I'm so sorry. I tried my best to follow her." I told her. "It's not your fault dear." All of a sudden I heard a familiar scream. "MAYA!" I yelled running towards the scream. When I got to the scream there was a disguised figure trying to pull Maya into a dark van. I charged towards the figure and kicked it where it hurts then punched his face with all my might. The figure was knocked out so I grabbed Maya and pulled her away dragging her all the way back to Topanga's. Maya's "dad" was gone. "Oh baby girl you're okay." Katy ran and hugged her daughter. "Would you mind if I talked to Maya alone?" I asked. Katy nodded and walked into the back room. "Maya." I grabbed her hands. "Don't worry about Kermit, you don't need him and he isn't going to affect our relationship." I hugged her. Maya then started crying and leaned into me. "He tried to take me." I shushed her. "We don't know what happened peaches. I'm just glad you're okay. I can't say I love you enough." Maya smiled and lifted her head. "I love you more than anyone." I held her close as she kissed me quickly. I frowned jokingly. Maya laughed and then kissed me forcefully and passionately. It lasted a long time before we released. "I'm never gonna let anything happen to you." I pulled a piece of her hair back and looked into her beautiful blue eyes. "And I you." She smiled. We then hugged. I wish we could stay like this forever. Just me and Maya, laying in each other's arms. Right now, even though it was impossible it was all we wanted and it felt as though we could. Confusion wasn't the death of me. It was only the beginning.

I wrote this chapter so long ago and slightly edited it to be a conclusion. Because... This story is over. I am trying to end a lot of my books and delete the ones I didn't like. This one I liked so I will be keeping it up. But I will not be updating anymore, I hope you understand and goodbye for this book. There are others that I will keep updating though. Mostly my Jyrus one 😂
