It's been a month since Joel had tweeted us and we finally finished writing up our song. We were in the recording studio in the music room at school. "You guys ready?"
"Yup." Kylie said and turned on the video camera. Once she was in her stool, playing her guitar this time and everyone was set, I clapped my sticks together three times and we started to play.
"These walls that contain me are bound,
By the strings of what you tell me I'm worth,
If I can only fly as high as the sky,
Why do you shoot me down before I hit the clouds,
Was all this just a lie to make you proud?
I've sobered up, my thoughts have hit the ground," Jake sang.
"So with my hands, I'll take all the life you once held,
It wasn't easy to dash the hopes and the dreams,
But now we're both free
Of what might have been," Kylie and I harmonised as we sung the chorus and then Jake started up again.
"I kept on tell tell telling you,
To just stop and tell the truth,
To just stop making the moves,
Put in this cage, exasperated by the hate,
What else was I suppose to do."
"So with my hands, I'll take all the life you once held,
It wasn't easy to dash the hopes and the dreams,
But now we're both free of what might have been." Kylie and I.
"So I guess this marks the end...
Like those wax wings in the sky,
We have fallen to earth,
But only because you brought me down,
Each and every day was torture in itself,
Like carrying the weight of a thousand oceans,
Only to be brought down by the tide." Jake sung with a lot of emotion laced in his voice, making it more powerful. Then we all sung the last bit together, excluding Drew.
"So with my hands,
I'll take all the life you once held,
It wasn't easy to dash the hopes and the dreams,
But now we're both free,
We're both free of what might have been."
Jake finished it off with one last strum and we all grinned, happy that we finally nailed it. "Great job guys, you are definitely amazing song writers."
"Aww shucks!" Drew joked, fanning himself with his hand as if he were blushing. Kylie turned off the video camera and I stood up to take a picture of the room. There was paper scattered all around the floor, instruments everywhere and Drew, Kylie and Jake were looking over the video we just shot.

We packed up our stuff and headed to our classes. I had Math... yay... Luckily Kylie and I are in the same class. We both walked into class and everyone just stared at us.
