What's going on?

Is everything okay?

Where is eomma?

Jeon Wonwoo quickly threw clothes into his luggage as the thoughts run through his mind. He switched off his phone after his last message to Mingyu and waited outside his house, waiting for his mum and the other person, his mum referred to as 'we'. 

When the black car drove up in front of his house, a 'bing' came from his phone but he decided to ignore it. The backseat window rolled down, revealing his mum's pale face. "Eomma, what's going on?," he asked, confuse written all over his face. "Why is it a-", "No, time for questions, Wonwoo-ah. Get in the car, quick."

His mum looked serious for someone who was always cheerful and hyped. He felt uncomfortable so, he sat quietly. There was a man driving the car, "Eomma, who is he?" Wonwoo whispered. "He is my old friend and is going to become your guardian."

Wonwoo turned quickly to his mum, "What are you saying?". "Wonwoo-ah, listen to eomma from now on, okay?". He nodded as if he was 5 years old again. "You're going to be living in America for a while and this man will take care of you. I trust him a lot, he will protect you-", "What?! W-What are you saying, eomma?". His face turned pale and his throat went dry. "Eomma is in a really tough situation right now, I know you're grown up but I can't tell you right now, the real reason. I promise to tell you everything after things settle down for a bit. Please trust me, okay, Wonwoo-ah?"

"B-But, you're not coming?". "I can't, son. I need to settle some things here, I'll come to you soon, okay?". Clueless and confused Wonwoo nodded in return to his mother's message. "Shin-ah, we're here," the unknown man said. 

They were in front of the airport at 12am. His mum turned to him again, "Listen to what this Ahjussi says, okay? Eomma promises to come by your side soon. I love you, Wonwoo-ah," his mum hugged him and they said their farewells. The 'Ahjussi' led the both of them to the flight gate to America, while his mum cried silently in the black car, "I'm sorry, Wonwoo-ah. I need to do this, for you," she whispered silently to herself. 

As Wonwoo boards the plane with the 'Ahjussi', he knew he should've stayed and begged to stay with his mum but he was so clueless about the whole situation, he trusted his mum that it was the right thing to do. He looked back at the city beyond him as the plane flew from the ground, "I'll come back soon. Don't worry, Eomma, Mingyu-ah."
