It's been 5 months. I'm now 20 weeks along. It's been over 3 months since we moved to New York. It's was Miley's idea. New York really helped with the new start. And now, I'll be able to start my new life with my child. No Joe. No his memory. Things are going fine. Everything's on place. I have to work two jobs tho. And it's really hard when you are pregnant. But I know it'll be worth it. My family is supporting me a lot. And Miley, she's like my sister helping me through everything. I'm so glad to have her and my family by my side.
Joe, I haven't seen him after the day we broke up. She never came back. Not an apology, nothing. But it's ok. I can move on now.
I was sitting on the rocking chair on our balcony, talking to Dallas. Today was my 20 weeks check up. And I'm so excited. My doctor said we'll be able to know the gender, if I want to. I can't wait. I was talking to Dallas about how excited I am.
A few minutes after we hung up, Miley came in. Then we started talking about random stuff. We both took our day off for the check up.
Suddenly I felt something move inside my stomach. I knew it was my baby moving inside of me.
"Miley!" I shouted to her
"What? Demi, is everything okay?" She panicked.
"Miley, I think I felt something move inside of me. I think the baby is moving!" I said almost tearing up.
"Oh my god, Demi. Where?" Miley asked excited
"Here" I took her hand and placed it where I felt the baby move.
"Oh God, Demi. It's awesome " Miley said
"I know. My baby" I said again placing my hand on my bump. I was now crying. Maybe it's just my pregnancy hormones. Whatever. I just want my baby here.
"Let's get ready. Or we will be late for the check up." Miley said.
"Yes. " I smiled
The whole ride I couldn't stop myself from smiling.
@The Hospital
They called my name after 10 minutes of waiting. I went inside with Miley. The GYN greeted us.
"So, Demi, How have you been?" She asked smiling
"I've never been better!" I smiled
"Actually she felt the baby move this morning. " Miley said
"That's awesome. " The GYN smiled.
"So, Demi, we are having your 20 weeks check up today, right ?" She asked
"Yeah." I replied
"Well, do you want to know the baby's gender. We can find out if you want to." She asked.
"Of course. I'm really excited " I smiled.
"Ok, Demi. So I want you to lay down here" I did what she told
"Okay, so a warning. This gel is cold" She warned
"I know. " I smiled
She put the gel on my stomach and did the ultrasound. I saw my baby on the screen. She told me my baby was doing fine. And again, I became emotional and cried........
