Ellie's room
Calloused fingers of a workman drew out a long fabric from the dark drawer. Back hunched forward and brows furrowed in a bunch, he hobbled over to the common working room. He then sat at a desk and cut the cloth into three sections. Murmurs floated around the room as the old man started the sewing machine.
What does he think he's doing? That rusty old thing'll never work. The machine is almost as old as him!
Ignoring the mocking voices, he went ahead with the process. Slow ticking and astonished gazes followed the soft creaks of the device that had suddenly come to life.
Sweat dripped down his temple making him internally cringe and wish for a fan in the small dingy room.
Once the fabric was sewn and stuffed, the craftsman began the process of shaping the features, too engrossed in his own work to notice the sneering faces of his co-workers.
In. Out. In. Out the thread went until the stuffed figure had a button nose and a smile. Glassy, brown rimmed eyes were hurriedly stuck over the snout and the animal was promptly stuffed into a cardboard box.
That was how I was made.
Or would have been made had I come into the stuffed toy beforehand.
That was how the toy was made. I was made like every other human child was. The only difference between me and a normal human being (at the moment) was that my life had been interlinked with a bear's.
Not just any bear's. My sister's teddy bear.
I was a human.
And yet I wasn't.

The writer apologizes for any spelling errors that might have come up in the paragraph. However, he would like to bring to the reader's notice that he was writing through the hands of a teddy bear which wasn't easy courtesy of the thick, hairy and fingerless hands of the animal.
