(Holy shit okay this is the longest chapter so far i'm sure of it, to make up for the previous chapter :) anyway i havent edited it yet but i do hope you enjoy!)
The Eopies in the distance made reality all the harsher for Anakin as he realized that Orabelle would be gone in a matter of hours and he was sure she wasn't returning. Some part of him knew she wouldn't return but another part of him hoped she'd never leave.
Securing the much-needed parts on the Eopies Orabelle sighed and took a large step back, so much trouble for just a few parts. Although the struggle to obtain the parts was well worth it, having met her first actual friend Orabelle soon felt a terrible sadness wash over her.
However, the sadness still was unable to rid that terrible dark feeling she had the entire journey thus far. Padme noticed the young girls face twist into a myriad of emotions, conflicted on how she should feel knowing that attachment was forbidden but considering someone a dear friend wasn't. "I'm sure you'll see him again soon."
Padme put a hand on Orabelle's shoulder, "but right now we must get these parts back to the ship so we can leave."
Nodding, the girl and Padme both mounted the Eopie, ready to leave for the ship, only they were stopped by Qui-Gon. "Orabelle, why don't you stay back, say your farewells to young Anakin. I'll be back midday to return the Eopies." The young girl smiled, getting off the Eopie excitedly and running down to Anakin while the others headed off to the Naboo spacecraft.
"Aren't you going with them?" Anakin tilted his head slightly, although he wasn't exactly complaining, in fact, he was happy that she was still here. Shmi excused herself to let the two finish their goodbyes. "No.. I-uh mean yes, Qui-Gon is coming back." she smiled, rocking back and forth on her feet, she was always terrible with goodbyes and that's why she understood Attachments were forbidden.
Anakin smiled at the young girl, whose eyes were glued to the sand beneath them. The two decided to walk and talk with what little time they had, Anakin cherishing every second he spent with Orabelle and Orabelle becoming more and more reluctant to leave the more time she spent with him.
The two would've spent more time talking if Anakin wasn't attacked so abruptly by Greedo, a green alien youngling, baring resemblance to Wald another of Anakin's friends. Orabelle was stumped on what to do, she watched as a dozen or more kids surrounded the fight. Orabelle had in fact intervened but ended up with a broken nose, resolving conflict wasn't her strongest leverage, and she knew that there would be no use in scaring the kids away with a lightsaber because that would just cause more attention.
Holding her nose, blood oozing out through the slits between her fingers, Orabelle saw Qui-Gon in the distance, however, she needn't alert his attention to the fight in front of her because his eyes were already on the scene. Qui-Gon's shadow loomed over the two fighting boys, unimpressed he looks down at the boys who stop.
"What's this?" Arms crossed and a sombre look told Anakin that Qui-Gon was incredibly unimpressed.
"He said I cheated," Anakin explained, still obviously very angry from the accusation. Orabelle frowned from behind her almost red hand. "Did you?" Qui-Gon continued, the question hadn't been demeaning or patronizing yet Anakin took offence, "No!"
Turning to Greedo, the tall man stared at him, "do you still think he cheated?" Greedo nodded.
"Well, Ani. You know the truth... You will have to tolerate his opinion, fighting won't change it. And you..." Qui-Gon trailed off once more to give his attention to the young alien boy, "hasn't anyone told you that hitting a girl is rude. Do try in the future to never let it happen again."
Young Anakin and Orabelle were soon whisked away, having received many strange looks, Qui-Gon finally questioned the girl's nose, seeing it was oddly out of character for her to get hit. Easily that is. "Did you try and break the fight up?" Orabelle nodded, "I knew there would be no use trying to scare him away with my lightsaber. I didn't even see his elbow coming until it hit me."
