I wake up late the next morning as Wonsik gives me a big breakfast in bed. "What's all this," I say as I rub the sleep out of my eyes and look at all the food.
"You promised we could stay in bed for as long as I wanted on our first day back so I'm making sure you don't get out of bed," he replies. I chuckle and start eating some of the food. We flip on the tv and eat for a while. Once we've finished, set the rest aside and let the food in our stomachs settle, I see his true intentions as his hand starts to explore my body. A little smile creeps on my face and I allow him to do as he pleases. After we've finished, he has his arm wrapped around me, my head is on his chest and my hand is on his abdomen. We lay in that position for a while, happy to be with each other. For the rest of the day, we drift in and out of sleep. When we're awake, we watch tv, eat or explore each other's bodies.
It seems like it's been years since we have had a chance just to relax and spend time with each other with no set agenda so we enjoy the whole day in bed.
I wake up early the next morning and jump into the shower while Wonsik is still sleeping. I wrap myself in my robe and walk downstairs to get some breakfast for us. I make omelettes and just as I finish setting the table Wonsik hobbles into the kitchen, still shirtless and in his favorite sweat pants. "I thought I smelled food," he says as he kisses me good morning and sits down. I sit on the other side of the table and start digging into my food. "Yesterday was nice," Wonsik says with a full mouth.
"It was," I reply, similarly. Just then I get a text from Hakyeon saying to text him when we get home. "What time were we supposed to get back today?" I ask Wonsik.
"About noon," he says.
"So we have about four hours before Hakyeon starts bugging us...." I respond without thinking. "Actually... I missed the boys," I murmur after giving my words a second thought.
"I missed them too but I would give up seeing them ever again to travel with you for the rest of my life," he says. I smile with my cheeks still stuffed with food and he just laughs at my silly face in response.
We finish our food and throw the plates in the sink before heading to the living room. We snuggle together and put a movie on to rest up a bit before Hakyeon tries to invade our home. After the movie ends, we start going through some of our pictures from our trip together since we still have about an hour and a half before noon. It doesn't take us long to realize that we can't seem to take a normal selfie since we're making funny faces in almost every picture we took together. We finish going through them in about an hour since we'd stop to talk about some of the stuff going on in a bunch of them, including a little argument since I mentioned something about the attractive guard at one of the palaces that ended up in one of our pictures.
"Hakyeon should be here in about half an hour. You know, there is one way you can make up for saying that security guard was attractive before Hakyeon gets here" he says while looking at me with his eyebrow raised. I punch him in the chest and he looks very shocked. "I guess you'd rather be with that security guard then!"
"Are we going to do this again?! I told you, he was attractive but I married you! Not him! I don't need to make anything up to you!" I retort.
Wonsik pouts and sulks for a little bit before suddenly lunging on top of me. He pins my wrists against the couch and kisses me. "So that means I can kiss you anytime I want right?"
"Sure," I smile. He kisses me again and just as his hands have released my wrists and made their way to my waist, the doorbell rings. We stop kissing but other than that; we don't move a muscle, eyes still closed and breathing still heavy.
"Dammit Hakyeon," Wonsik curses. I chuckle, give him a slight peck on the lips and push him off of me. I run toward the door and open it to find Hakyeon, Jaehwan and Hyuk at the door.
"HYUKKIE!" I yell as I dodge Jaehwan's attack hug and I jump on Hyuk.
"Rigi! I missed you," Hyuk says and he tightens his grip on me.
I jump off and hug Hakyeon, "I missed you! Thank you for everything you did for us, the trip was amazing."
"Anything for my best friends," he replies.
"Can I hug Rigi now please," Jaehwan whines. Without warning, I turn and jump on Jaehwan just as he always does to me. "Hey only I can to that!" he yells.
"It's my turn now," I laugh. "I missed you," I whisper into his ear.
"Where's Wonsik?" Hakyeon asks after I've finally released Jaehwan from my grip.
"Probably still in the living room," I reply. We all head in that direction and find Wonsik sitting on the couch with a pillow on his lap and a bowl of strawberries on the pillow.
"Hey guys!" Wonsik says gleefully. "Want some strawberries?"
"When did you get those?" I ask.
"While you were greeting the guys. I got hungry.... And I figured they might want some," he stammers a bit while trying to explain the strawberries.
"Okay..." I reply. I take a seat beside him and everyone else sits around us.
"So how was the trip?" Hyuk asks.
"It was amazing! Granada is so beautiful, I could live there," I reply.
"Are you guys tired?" Hakyeon asks.
Before I could tell him we're not, Wonsik quickly replies, "we're so tired. Rigi never let me sleep in because she wanted to go explore. I couldn't sleep a whole lot on the plane ride home either."
"Are these some of your pictures?!" Jaehwan asks excitedly, paying no mind to Wonsik. He picks up the stack on the table and starts going through them. They go through the pictures and I offer explanations of what they're seeing. After they've gone through all the pictures, I bring some tea and we all sit around and talk for a while.
"So how did things go with Ellie?" I ask Jaehwan.
Instantly, he lights up, "it was amazing! That night we danced almost the whole time after you guys left and we stayed to help clean up after most of the guests went home and it was actually really fun so as I walked her to the car, I asked her out and she said yes but they were going back to America in a few days so we spent as much time together as we could. We went to the movies, got bubble tea, I took her to some great restaurants. We had a great time but... then she left... We still talk a lot on the phone but it's not the same you know..."
My heart breaks a little upon hearing how sad he was to have to let go of her. "Aw. I'm glad you two had fun though. Hopefully you'll see each other soon."
"Yeah... I hope so," he says.
"Where are Taekwoon and Hongbin?" I ask.
"Taekwoon went to visit his nephew. Hongbin didn't say what he was doing, he just said he was busy," Hyuk replies.
"Hyuk, how's your grandma?" Wonsik asks, strangely stern for such a random question.
"Uh... She's uh.. good," he stammers.
"We should get going," Hakyeon says. "You guys should rest up, we'll see you later." We say our goodbyes and they leave.
"What was that?" I ask Wonsik.
"What was what?" he replies, innocently.
"The strawberries, 'how's your grandma'? What's that all about."
"I was just asking!"
"No you weren't. That was some kind of code. And they left right after. Do you use that when you want them to leave?"
"Fine, yes. It's our code for when one of us wants to be left alone or if we want to leave somewhere."
"Wonsik! We barely ever see them and they come to visit after everything they did for us recently for the trip and wedding and you kick them out like that?! How could you be so rude?!"
"I'm sorry! I just want to spend more time alone with you!"
"You shouldn't be apologizing to me, they deserve your apology." I close my eyes and take a deep breath. "Sweetie, I know you want to spend all this time with me and trust me, I want to spend all my time with you too, but we have a lifetime ahead of us. We barely get to see the boys and we'll probably get to see them even less in the future if we start a family and they start getting married too."
"You're right. That was rude. I just can't help myself sometimes, in crazy about you," he says softly.
I step closer to him and wrap my arms around his neck. "It's okay, I understand why you did it but don't do it again unless it's serious okay."
"Okay," he kisses me lightly.
"Who the heck came up with 'how's your grandma' anyway," I laugh.
"Taekwoon," he chuckles. "When the new guys came into the group before our debut, he felt kind of awkward, so whenever he wanted to get out of a situation with them he would ask 'how's your grandma' and it was cue for us to either ditch the new guys or to get them away from him."
"Aw that's so mean," I laugh.
"He's just awkward and couldn't deal with the thought of having to make friends if he knew they were just competition and would either be kicked out or kick him out," Wonsik explains.
"It makes sense. It sucks that it had to come to that though..." I respond.
"It's the life of a trainee..." Wonsik says. "Anyway, let's wash up and go get some noodles," he smiles brightly.
