Once the men left, the kids just sat there, trying to process what exactly happened. The streets were filled with dead bodies and there, somewhere, also lied their dead father. The neighboring kingdom, Ascalon, saw the blazed sky and that signaled that there was a war.
" Mom, what happened in Myrian?" a young boy said. He was the little brother of Alexander, the oldest son of King Henry.

" They were at war. We should have helped them," the boy's mother began to say,"if only your father saw the sign".

" Why didn't we then?" the young boy asked, curious to why his father didn't help out Myrian. One of his friend's lived in the kingdom. His name was Danielle, the son of the king and he wanted to know if he was okay.

" Tomorrow we are going to go check if they are okay. Got that Lucas?" the woman was as worried as him. For the woman was the cousin of the king that lived there.

At morning, a horse was prepared for the 2 of them. The morning air had an acrid smell of pine. The trip wasn't a long one, they would just have to go through the woods and they would be there. Once they arrived, the only thing they saw was the grotesque streets that, once, used to be filled with vivacious people and shopkeepers. All that was left was the destruction of the kingdom and the people who survived. At least they actually did.

" Stop," a man said. He was the guard of the once peaceful castle, but now destroyed.  " Oh, Queen Elizabeth, you may enter and I mustn't forget little Lucas,"the guard said once he recognized her face and her son's.

" Thank you Reynold," Queen Elizabeth said with a smile.

After entering the castle, they saw that the talisman was ripped. It was a special talisman that has the power to seal evil souls in Tartarus. The first thing that queen did when she saw this, was take it down. Then she would bring it back to her castle to give it a fixing, but first they would find the children. If there were any still alive.

" Lucas go search for Danielle and Destiny, while I try to get the talisman down," she said with a gentle voice, as soft as the breeze.

" Wait, Danielle has a sister. I never knew that," the boy said confused. When he visited he never saw Danielle's sister before, probably because they were always outside. They mostly played with the nature around them—never going inside unless it was time fo a snack or Lucas' mother was there to pick him up.

" Yes, he does have a sister. I'm surprised that you never knew about her. Her name is Destiny and she is 3 years younger than Danielle, meaning that she is about the same age as you. Destiny was born in September while you were born in May" she replied to her son's stunning comment.

Once he got his answer he finally started to do his job. He first went to the banquet hall where all of the balls were held and where dancing lessons used to be taught. After not finding any body there except for some of the house cleaners, he decided to ask one of them.

" Ah, Miss Mary Ann!" he started to call.

" Oh, Lucas. What are you doing here?" the busy cleaner asked him while continuing to broom a broken vase.

" Well, me and mom are here to check on you guys. Have you seen Danielle and Destiny?" he asked while replying to her question.

" Yes I have. They are in the master's bedroom. Why do you ask?" Mary Ann said, replying to his question.

" Mom and I wanted to know if they are okay," Lucas said with a bright smile. " What about Uncle and Auntie?"

" Oh, they died," she said with a frown and a weak voice.

" No way," the boy said in disbelief. No, I have to continue my job. I got to find them. The good thing is that there children are still alive after what happened. Lucas thought. " Well then, see you later Miss Mary Ann"

Immediately after the conversation, he headed to the master bedroom which was upstairs, somewhere. Once upstairs, he checked all of the rooms until he got to the last one that read, Master's Bedroom. Of course there is a sign, Lucas you idiot. He thought while face palming.

"Hey! Destiny, Danielle you in here!" he yelled while opening the door with a loud slam.

What he saw was 2 children in there playing a game of chess. A young girl and her older brother. Both of the siblings hair as white as snow.

" Destiny!! That's not fair you were cheating!!" the loud older brother yelled in complaint of his loss to his 7 year old sister. Not taking any notice of his best friend standing there in the doorway with a surprised look on his face.

" Oh you even accuse your little sister for cheating in such simple game," the little sister retorted. " The physics of the game are to simple and I'm honestly surprised that this is your 54th loss. Oh and if you didn't know we have a guest".

On a little table that was next to the one where they were paying chess sat a sheet of paper, the scoreboard. It was divided into 2 sections one that read Destiny Points and another that read Danielle's Points. Destiny's box was full of tally marks and Danielle's was completely blank.

" Hey! If you didn't notice I am here also!" Lucas yelled in anger, not really knowing why, but it was probably because of the fact that he wasn't getting any attention.

" Oh shut it, God. Oh it's you. Your name is Lucas Delivent right?" the young girl said.   " Your the son of Uncle Henry".

" How do you know that?" the boy said amazed. They never formally met before, so he was surprised that she knew about him.

" Well that's simple to answer, Lucas," she said. "I'll tell you a bit later so how about some chess?".
