The Game and Introductions

Lucas walked to the table and sat down where Danielle used to sit. He exchanged a small grin with Danielle so Destiny couldn't see it.

" Do you know how to play?" Destiny asked him.

" I have played before," Lucas replied.

" Okay that's good. I don't feel like explaining rules since I'm actually really bored of this game," Destiny said as if she didn't exactly care that her parents where dead.

" If you're so bored then let's play a different game," Lucas said in a way that he would make sure that he would definitely win anything that she threw at him.

" How about," Destiny began, but paused in thought," How about archery?".

" Archery?" Lucas said in amazement. That was a big surprise to him because girls around her age don't learn anything about using weapons or fighting.

" Why so surprised that I know archery?" Destiny asked in confusion, almost as if there was nothing wrong with a girl knowing archery, especially around her age.

" Well it's just that I've never seen a young girl about my age learn anything about weaponry and fighting," Lucas said admitting the truth.

" Is it because girls this age are so "docile" and "innocent" and "ladylike"?", Destiny said almost in anger, but still calmly so that she wouldn't be yelling.

" No it definitely has nothing to do with that!" Lucas said, lying.

" Lets go to the field," Danielle said.

"Okay," both Lucas and Destiny said.

Once they arrived to the field, which surprisingly stayed well with little to none damage, they got out the bows and the arrows. The targets were already set up, all that was left was to make the rules. Since Danielle had no part in this little "game" of theirs, he was going to be the referee.

" Okay, listen, I want a nice clean fight. Got that?" Danielle said it in a way that made them think if you do anything wrong, your "dead".

" Heh, it's not like it's a tackling game," Lucas said in dismay.

" Any other important rules that we need to know?" Destiny said in a let's get this over already tone.

" Rules are simple, you will both have 5 arrows. To get a point you have to shoot a bullseye. One arrow for each target. Hmm, that's about it, oh and no distractions from the other person," Danielle seriously said. It was the first time that Destiny and Lucas were actually competitive. Danielle never seen them like this, and to even put a fact in there, the last time Destiny used a bow was when she was 5. She didn't even shoot any targets.

" I'll let you go first, it's been a while since I shot a target," she said.

" What ever happened to Lady's first?" Lucas grinned.

" It is okay, when in battle the men protect the women, so please think of this if as if a man is planning on killing your mother," Destiny said with a small smile.

Lucas took a step forward. Lifted the bow up and started to aim at the first target. The first shot hit the target. It was a perfect bullseye. So was the next and the next, they were all perfect bullseye's. Worried that Lucas hasn't returned to tell his mother if the children were okay, his mother began to look for him. Once she got to the field, she finally found them.

A whistle blew signaling that Lucas' turn was over, " 5 points to Lucas," Danielle said, " zero for Destiny, so far"

" So they were doing archery all this time," Lucas' mom said smiling. She didn't want to interrupt their fun so she decided to stay back and watch from where she was.

Next up was Destiny. Destiny carefully lifted up her bow and an arrow. She aimed for the first bullseye. She's never going to hit it with my arrow in the way Lucas thought. Are you so sure? Danielle thought. Wait how are you in my mind?! Lucas thought, very confused. One of our demonic powers allows us to read minds. Oh okay then, wait does this mean that Destiny can listen in on our conversation?

" Hey, I'm done!" Destiny shouted to get their attention. She got 5 bullseye too. Each and everyone of Lucas' arrows were split in half, right down the middle.

" Ho-how?" Lucas said astonished. He and a girl, a girl the same age as him, both were tied in archery.

" Oh my, well it seems that it's a bit late, how about we all go inside to eat dinner?" Lucas' mom said.

" Mom!? When did you get here?" Lucas said surprised.

" She got here a while ago. The second you started your turn," Destiny said. " Honestly, I'm surprised that you didn't notice her. I guess your reaction time isn't that good too".

" Why you!" Lucas said now mad.

" Ha just kidding," Destiny said playfully.

Once inside they all went to the dining table. It was a bit cracked, but it would be able to hold all the food. A door opened and the house cleaners came in with plates of delicious smelling food. You could smell it through the doors.
After all the food was on the table, they first thanked the chef and everyone who helped out. The main course was done and it is now time to bring in the dessert. Their dessert was a chocolate ball that melted when you put even more chocolate on it. Once melted, it revealed vanilla ice cream. The dessert was handmade specially by the chefs. They made it so that every time you take a spoonful, the rich and creamy ice cream would melt in your mouth.

" I think it is time for me and Lucas to return to our home," Lucas' mother said a bit said.

" Oh wait first," Lucas went up to Destiny," my name is Lucas Delivent, age 7 and the son of King Henry and Queen Elizabeth".

" My name is Destiny Lockheart, age 7, daughter of King Lenard and Queen Maria".

Night fell and both Destiny and Danielle went sleep. In Lucas' castle someone was plotting something evil.
