Years Later

10 years has passed and Danielle has become the new king of Myrian. Destiny, now 16 and Lucas now 17. In about 2 months, Destiny would be 17 too.

A girl on horseback was in the woods with her bow in hand. Her white locks shimmering in the sunlight, but then fading into a light gray once shade covered her. She reached out her hand to grab an apple from the nearby tree. The tree's leaves shading her from the warmth of the sun. She had finally arrived, in the kingdom of Ascalon! She was there to visit her friend. He lived in the castle and his mother had died last year. Sadly, she couldn't go to the funeral. Before entering the village, she tied her horse to a twig on a nearby tree, which was just by the forest where she entered. She used her concealment magic to hide her bow and the satchel that held her arrows. Once all of the villagers saw her vivid white hair and bright red eyes, they flooded around her. Greeting her while offering her freshly baked goods. With all of them surrounding me, I might not make it out safely she thought. She felt a warm hand grab her, pulling her away from the swarming crowd. The person pulled her away behind the bakery.

" Ah, Destiny so this where you were," a young man said to her. He was wearing a white shirt and long dark pants, almost looking like a little out of place, but she knew that was the "normal" way he dressed.

" Lucas!" Destiny said, embracing him in a hug. She missed him, all of the years that had gone by with no letters or any visits, nothing to keep them in contact.

" It's the first time in 10 years," Lucas said putting a hand on her head.

"  Yeah. It is. I'm still sad that you didn't visit or write," Destiny said pulling away from the hug.

" Anyways let's go to the castle now," Lucas declared.

" Oh, no your not!" a voice yelled from behind them. It was Destiny's loyal attendant, Albert. " You guys know what happens when a man and woman go to a secret place alone! A lot of things happen between them! You know that you guys aren't even related!"

" What do you mean?" they asked in confusion.

" I've said to much, anyways on to the castle!" Albert said, trying to avert from the worst-case scenario in front of him.

" Albert, if you don't tell us, then you have no idea what's going to happen when we get back home!" Destiny forcefully implied. Her eyes glowing bright red, such a threatening  look on her face as well.

" Okay, okay. The truth is that you two aren't exactly related, not at all, to put in fact. Your father and your mother were never related, they just wanted to make you believe this so then you would become closer. I mean, as the only family to get along with an actual god, well more or less gods, your family is pretty famous," Albert came clean.

Hmm, being related did seem to be a bit weird, being that my brother is a friend of Lucas and you are a god while we are demons Destiny thought.

" Ahh there she is!!" a villager yelled.

" Oh and look she is with the prince!!" another one yelled.

The mob of people then started to chase them and they did what any person would have done when being chased by a mob, run. Once they got to castle and were let in, the mob of people returned to their shops and homes, knowing how impossible it would be to break through the castle guards. All the three of them began to catch their breath, although Destiny wasn't tired. She was forced to undergo training as a young child, just in case of situations like these and other very important ones.

" Phew. Now that we are inside, I can show Destiny the field that I use to practice. Maybe we can even have a small battle," Lucas suggested the idea to Destiny and she thought for a moment.

" Sure!" she answered happily. She wanted to see how well Lucas got after the ten years of not being able to see him. If he got stronger then that would be good if he didn't, then he still has a long way of learning, unless. No! I can't risk to do that! She thought.

" Definitely not!!" Albert yelled at the two. " A lady like Miss Lockheart, shouldn't be messing around with  weapons suitable for men! At least you didn't bring that bow of yours!"

Destiny and Lucas stared at each other. You brought it didn't you? Lucas thought. Of course. I wouldn't miss out on seeing a childhood friend without bringing it to battle. Destiny replied. I can see it, even though it's concealed, Lucas said. They exchanged small grins, then nodded their heads in agreement.

" What are you two thinking!? To run away and get married somewhere!?" Albert questioned them.

" Of course not!" they said at the same time. They then stared at each other for a while.

" Anyways, follow me to the field," Lucas said.

" Don't do anything reckless you two!!" Albert yelled.

While walking to the field, they passed a lot of portraits and old decorations. This was the first time Destiny has ever been in the place where Lucas lived. She saw Alexander, Lucas' older brother, know king, sitting at his desk. He was doing some kind of office work. Destiny, now distracted by the unfamiliar surroundings didn't notice that they were at the field already.

" Hey Destiny, we're here," Lucas said trying to grab her attention. She didn't notice until Lucas pulled on her tail. Her tail wasn't seen because of her concealment magic. Now that they were alone, she would be able to take a rest of from using her magic.

" Ow!!!" Destiny cried. She was holding her tail.

" We're here now, so how about at battle?" Lucas said determined.

" Sure," Destiny replied.

" How about we make it more interesting?".

" I'm listening," Destiny said liking the idea so far.

" The person who loses, has to do anything the winner says for one day. When that happens we are going to have to stay inside the castle, it would be embarrassing to do whatever the winner says in front of the villagers. Not only embarrassing, but also it would terminate our dignity as members of a royal family".

" Sure I'm up for the challenge," Destiny said determined.

" We can't use any magic though, only brute force and our weapons," Lucas said declaring the rules.

" How about the first person to surrender loses?" Destiny suggest. " Oh and I may have to stay at your house for the night".

" That will work also and why do you?" Lucas asked.

" A little birdie told me that a pretty bad storm is coming tonight so I won't be able to go back in time before it starts. We are going to have to get the battle over pretty soon also," Destiny replied.
