(Prologue)
A beautiful young woman looked out of the window. On her lap sat a young girl with the same white hair as her mother's. The young girl was sound asleep. Next to the young girl sat a boy. He was older than her, only by a couple of years, also asleep. Dawn was bursting with bright colors of flame. No one knew what the dawn could bring, or what it could end.
The young woman was looking at was the battlefield, her very own kingdom. Her kingdom had been attacked by an uncharted kingdom that Belladore had no control over. Why they went to war with them? Well, that's because they found out that the royal family that rules there is somehow related to the demon king. The king of Myrian was out on the battlefield, fighting for his kingdom. He may have been fighting for his kingdom, but who would be there to protect his family?
" She's in here!" a man yelled from afar. The unfamiliar voice didn't scare the woman. She just kept on holding her children tightly.
" Mom, what's happening?" the boy yawned. He had just woken up from slumber and didn't know that there was a war going on.
" Nothing is happening, don't worry about it," the woman said calmly. She had a soft smile on her face. Her countenance not showing any sign of nervousness or fear. For she was readily prepared of her what her future will bring her.
" Mom, Danielle?" the younger girl began after waking up," Where is daddy?".
" He's out fighting, my little Destiny," the woman replied. The clanking of metal could be heard throughout the halls and through the barricades of the wooden door that led to the room where they are in.
" Why is he fighting?" the little girl asked.
" He's fighting because," the woman began, but was cut off by the sound of the wooden door being kicked down. A group of armed men came in, weapons in hand.
" Hold down the children men! Don't forget about the queen, she also has powers!" the leader of the men yelled. The group of men marched quickly toward the family. One of them grabbed the queen, pointing his sword toward her neck. Two others grabbed the children, pulling them to their knees with their hands behind their backs. Both were being pulled by their head so they could watch what was about to happen to their mother.
" Whatever you do, don't harm the children!" the young woman yelled desperately, trying to get out of the clutches of the man who was pointing a sword to her.
" What are you going to do about it?" one of the men asked her.
" The children have nothing to do with this!" the woman yelled angrily . " What did they ever do to you!? They are just children. What would they do to deserve this!?". Tears started to roll down her cheeks.
" Mom, don't cry. You always do your best to take care of us," the boy said.
" And we always appreciate that," the little girl chimed in.
"Just being alive. Does that answer your questions?" a man in a rusted and cracked armor said, ruining the last almost happy moment that the children would have with their mother. He had a scar on his left eyebrow and a lot of cuts and bruises. No one noticed that he was even in the room, it was almost as if he wasn't even there to begin with.
" I'm surprised that you actually came. I thought that you were busy with other things," the leader said.
" Let's just say that I finished my job early. Defeating the king was too easy, but he did put up a good fight," the man said satisfied with his accomplishment.
" You-you killed him?" the woman said in dismay. She was surprised to the fact a human could actually defeat her husband. For he was the second most powerful in all of Belladore.
" Yes, I did," the man said with confidence.
" Back to what was happening before!" the leader said.
" Don't kill my children, kill me instead," the woman said. Silence filled the room for a couple of seconds.
" Well you heard the woman," the man with the scar said. " Off to the gallows perhaps?".
" We shouldn't waste anymore time with her, lets just kill her now," the leader concluded. With one smooth slice of his sword, the woman's neck burst open with blood shooting out from all directions. Her body falling to the ground with a loud thump. " Job well done men".
A couple of the soldiers were a bit shocked, being that it was their first time out on an actual mission and in an actual battlefield. Some were just recruits and some were experienced. Bits of the blood got onto the 2 children who had just witnessed their mother's death. After that, all of the men left and the war ended too. With their parents
dead and no one to take care of them, they wouldn't be giving up. Descendants of the demon king don't give up, not always anyways. From this experience, it would not only haunt their dreams forever, but it would also teach them a lesson, an unforgettable lesson that would help spark the beginning of a new adventure, that would be their reason, their power, their weaknesses for being able to live on another day. It would be the start of a great adventure. Something so great that even God himself can't describe, it would be extraordinary.
