Chapter 20

Emily's POV

Today was my first day of courses. I'm so nervous. What if I don't do good? Will they kick me out? I was gathering some last minute things, I took a shower, did my hair and makeup. Now, you may be thinking, hair and makeup for an online course? Well it's a video chat, me and a teacher. It's just like real school, but it's just me and the teacher. The thing I like about this course is, depending on how long you take the course In the day, the shorter or longer the class it self is. So if I take the course for a regular school day,(6-8 hours) I get out around June 20th. But, If I take it for less than 6-8 hours then the school is longer ect. I grabbed my new headphones, and put them on. I went through the tuning part of my headphones. Niall sat on the couch next to me. Just then, on the screen, this lady popped up. "Hello! I'll be your teacher this year! My name is Mrs. B. I'll be your teacher for: English, Social Studies, Math Science, And one foreign language of your choice!" She said. "Uh hi there! I'm Emily! And this is my boyfriend, Niall." I turned the computer towards him and he gave it a smile and ran into his office. "Uh sorry about that, he is weird sometimes." "That's ok love, now, let's begin with the class, shall we?"

Niall's POV

"And this is my boyfriend Niall!" ugh. What if she knows who I am!? I gave the computer a quick smile, panicked and ran down the hall, to my office. I have to finish up some last minute planning for the trip. Here is some of the info.

Hawaii

3 whole months

I'm going to surprise her there for our 1 year anniversary

We will fly out Jun. 21 so we have a little time to settle in before I propose to her for our 1 year anniversary. It's going to be so hard not to tell her but I think it will pay off. RING RING. Sounds like my phone is ringing. I picked it up.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Niall this is Louis. Paul wants us to put our suit cases in the bus. They are having one bus for our suit cases and one bus for us."

"Ok Lou I'll be there in about 5." I replied and hung up. I grabbed all of my suitcases and waved goodbye to Emily. She was typing something. I walked out the door and locked it behind me. I went to my car in the driveway and loaded up my suitcases in the backseat and the trunk. I turned the key in the ignition and backed out of the driveway.

"Niall I'm ready for your suitcases" Paul said. One by one I handed them to Paul. On my 8th and LAST suitcase, I got a call from Emily. "Hey I'm done with classes, where did you go?" she asked. "Uh I'm with the boys, why?" I asked. "I'm bored!" She whined into the phone. "Ok. Be home in a few. I have a surprise for you!" I said. "Oh goody goody." she said making me laugh. She hung up. "Hey boys, I'm going back to the house to surprise Emily. Call me if you need anything." I told them. "OK" They all said in unison. I hopped back in my car. I hope Emily will enjoy a pet.

Emily's POV

A surprise?! I wonder what it is. A vacation? No, Niall is going on tour. A new car? Nah, I already have one! A...... my thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the front door. I grabbed my purse, keys and my phone and opened the door. Sure enough, as always, there was Niall. "Ready to go?" He asked. "Uh ya!" I quickly replied and I ran out to the driveway. He unlocked his car door and we both got in and he turned the ignition and he backed out of the driveway. It took about 5 minutes and he pulled into a.....pet shop? A PET SHOP!!!!!!!! "Niall!!!" I screamed. "Yes I am getting you a pet. Your pick." I was smiling from ear to ear. I jumped out of the car. Literally. Then I saw flashes. Ugh. Fans found us. Niall took some pictures with fans and some even wanted pictures with me! "Niall why do you love that flea bag. She is so ugly." One of the fans said as they walked away. I looked at my feet. I tried my hardest to stay strong but as a set of comforting arms wrapped around me, I smelt Niall's cologne and I cried into the nook of his neck. I cried and cried and cried. He rubbed circles into my back and said "don't listen to them. You are the most beautiful girl I've ever seen and I wouldn't trade you for anyone." I looked up smiling. I quickly whipped out my mirror and removed the ruined makeup. It doesn't look bad. I hope. We started to walk to the door of the pet shop. I saw so many cute puppies and kittens. But I can't decide which one to get. Maybe one of both? Niall said my pick so I pick two. First I went to the puppies because, at heart, I am a dog person. But I've always had a soft spot for cats. Mainly kittens. I saw 5 puppies. I think I'm going to get a girl dog and a boy cat. I saw a really cute German Shepard female. I want that one. I found an assistant and told her I wanted that one. "Niall can I please get a kitty too?" I asked. He nodded and I jumped in excitement. He chuckled to himself and I ran over to the kittens. I saw this really cute savannah kitten with beautiful spots. It was a girl though. Oh well. I also told the assistant I wanted that one too. She took them and got them ready to go home and she led me and Niall to fill out paperwork. When we were about halfway through the paperwork the lady brought the animals in the room with us to play with us. I finished up my paperwork and while they were finishing up, I played with them. They are so cute. I pulled the puppy up on my lap. Niall had the kitten on his lap. "What should we name them?" I asked. We both sat for a minute and I got an idea. "We should name the dog Kiera!" I said. Niall nodded in agreement. "Can we name the kitten Nylah?" (leave a comment if you know who Nylah is!) Niall nodded again. "I love those names." He replied. Just then, the assistant peaked her head in. "Have you thought of names?" I lifted up Kiera. "This is Kiera" (pronounced KEY-AIR-AH) I said. Niall lifted up Nylah. "This is Nylah" He said. "Wonderful choices. Can you fill out these last minute papers?" She said and handed them to me. I nodded and set Kiera on the ground. I quickly filled everything out and handed it to her. "Great. If I can get a payment from you guys then I'll give you the boxes for them and you're free to go!" She said. We brought them out into the cash register area and Niall payed in cash. She gave us the boxes and we both put them in. They gave us directions on how to take care of them and we got a few toys for both of them and also some food. "Thanks Niall." I said. I kissed him on the cheek and we loaded up the pets in the car, getting ready to drive home.
