Is Niall Horan really my soulmate?

Chapter 31

Emily's POV

Tears ran down my cheeks and stained his jacket. He held me like noting was ever going to happen to me again. His lips repeatedly kissed my cheek, working its way down to my mouth. I can't believe that I'm finally engaged.

"Congradulations!" somebody yelled. A man with a camera appeared from the bushes with a big camera.

Out of honest shock, I laughed like crazy we hugged and the camera man congratulated us many more times. To be honest, I can't remember his name, so I found ways around it.

"Was that you taking pictures the whole time?" I asked. He replied with a nod of his head and I covered my face with my hands. Niall wrapped his arms around me lovingly.

"Hey, I'm really sorry about your dog though. Maybe we can go visit her and get engagement photos back at my place or on the beach if you want. I'm free today."

"Okay mate," Niall started. "How about you find a pretty location and we go visit the dog, yeh?" The camera man nodded and hopped into his car

While that was all happening, Niall's car was towed off to the mechanics to be cleaned up and fixed. He hopped in the drivers seat of my car and started it up. We waved to the camera man - we were taking a left and he was taking a right. He nodded at us and turned the other way. I put my hand on the console in the middle of the car and he moved his hand over to meet mine. He lifted my hand up to his mouth and kissed my fingers, then putting our hands down on the console once more, but this time our fingers were tighter around each other.

"Hey, let me video chat my mom and sister! I'll let them be the first ones to know." Niall smiled at me and then put his eyes back on the road.

I dialed my moms phone number and when she picked up, her face filled the screen.

"Jeez mom, little close." I said. I have to take a screen shot of this - click. Niall was laughing his head off next to me. "Eyes on the road Niall!" I yelled. His eyes snapped back to the road but he was still laughing.

"Oh, sorry dear, what's up?" She asked, moving the phone a little bit farther away from her face.

"Hey, where's your other, less cool daughter?"

"Oh, hold on." Mom said. She put down the phone and walked away. Nice ceiling, mom (A/N we all know someone like this okay). When mom came back into the frame, she had Kayla with her. I know that Kayla was a big fan of One Direction. After they broke up, she tore down her posters. I moved the camera towards Niall. We were at a red light, so he waved at her and blew her a kiss. Kayla smiled.

"Okay mom, I didn't call you just to say hi. We have an announcement." Mom's eyebrows moved together, as she was obviously confused. I let go of Niall's hand and held my left hand up closer to the camera.

"AAHHHHHH! EMILY IS GOING TO GET MARRIEEEDDDDDDDDDD!" She yelled. Kayla covered her ears.

"MOM!" Kayla yelled. "WHY ARE YOU YELLING?" Mom had managed to drop the phone in the process of yelling before Kayla could get a good look at what happened.

"YOUR SISTER IS ENGAGED!" Mom picked up the phone again and I put my ring up to the camera. Kayla smiled.

"Yay!!" She said. "Wait Emily, before you go I have someone who wants to see you, he heard your voice." Kayla walked off and mom had a confused look on her face. She smiled as soon as she knew what Kayla was doing. "Say hi to Fox!" she said. The camera moved over to my childhood dog who looked like he was as old as a pile of dirt.

"Oh my goodness! Hello little buddy!" I said. Fox's tail wagged quickly back and forth. "Okay, sadly we have to go check up on our  dog. See you guys later!" Niall said a quick goodbye before we ended the call.
