The first couple of days after leaving Camp Jupiter, Leo, Jason and Piper were still getting to know Percy, while Hazel and Frank broke the ice with Annabeth (which was a lot easier than it would have been before she was reunited with Percy).
Once, while the Argo II was sailing over the ocean, Percy walked over to Annabeth, who was leaning against the ship's railing.
"You know, Wise Girl," Percy said, smirking, "I'm actually surprised at how long it took you to find me. Aren't you a daughter of Athena?"
Annabeth glared at him. "Not funny," she said shortly, then pushed him backwards—over the railing. The others watched in horror, frozen in their tracks, as Percy fell.
"Annabeth! What did you do!?" Piper screamed. Annabeth waved away her words impatiently.
"Relax," she said, smiling slightly at their reactions, "he'll be fine."
Just then, Percy appeared next to the ship, standing on a huge water spout. Hazel, Jason, Frank, Piper and Leo all backed away. They had seen/heard how powerful the son of Poseidon was, and they expected him to be furious. He had just been pushed hundreds of feet down into the ocean! Instead, Percy rolled his eyes at Annabeth.
"Well, that was a slight overreaction," he grumped, vaulting onto the deck. "Sorry, Wise Girl," he added, kissing her on the cheek.
This is actually one of my favourites, even though it's really short. I don't know why, it just is. As usual, let me know! On a scale of Tartarus to Olympus, how great was this one? Talk to me!
Cheerio!
