This one is also very cliche, but that's okay. I also apologize in advance, I know almost nothing about makeup and all that. *Set after the Giant War*

"C'mon, Pipes, please?" Jason begged. "It's just for the party, and we're supposed to be really formal!" Piper sighed.

"I'll ask my siblings," she said, and Annabeth jumped a little.

"Yes! Thanks, Piper!" she said, her eyes twinkling. Piper grinned.

"Since when do you get excited about makeup, Annabeth?" she teased, and the blonde girl flushed.

"Hey!" she said warningly, though she wasn't really offended by the joke.

"It's because she's so beautiful without it," Percy broke in, slinging an arm around his girlfriend.

"Now go ask already," Hazel giggled, making shooing motions through her Iris-message.

"Alright, alright, I'm going!" Piper smiled, waggling her fingers at her friends before walking into her cabin and whistling for attention.

"Hey guys and girls! Gather 'round!" she yelled. Even though she was head counselor, she liked to get everyone's input on something before she actually made the decision.

"Okay, everyone," she said, "would it be okay if I brought the Seven in here before the party starts? The girls want makeup, and I refuse to let Percy's hair go untouched."

"Of course!" Aiden said. "A lot of Aphrodite campers do that for events like this--with the okay from the head counselor," he added hastily, and Piper nodded.

"Go ahead, just try not to make too much of a mess."

"A couple of us could help, if you wanted," Lacy offered, bouncing on her toes. The other Aphrodite kids nodded.

"Thanks, Lacy, but I'll be okay," Piper smiled. "I've gotta run, but I'll see you all later!" She walked out of her cabin and flashed a thumbs up at her friends, then jogged off to the big house to help with preparations. This party was going to be huge--it marked the one-year anniversary of defeating Gaea, and everyone,  both Greek and Roman, was excited.

***************************

"Just be careful not to mess anything up," Piper warned, opening the door. The Seven and company trooped inside, looking around curiously.

"This place is really clean," Percy remarked. "Way better than my cabin.

"Your cabin doesn't even look livable sometimes," Annabeth joked, "but let's get started." She pulled out a stool and Hazel and Calypso followed, while the boys flopped onto Piper's bed to watch.

"All right, let's see now..." Piper murmured. She started with Hazel, straightening her hair and pulling it back into a side bun. She added a dark red lipstick, and outlined Hazel's eyes with a warm brown color. Frank grinned his approval, and Piper moved on to Calypso. Having determined earlier that the girl wanted no makeup, Piper simply put her hair into a half-crown braid, earning a whistle from Leo, and turned to Annabeth. Frowning, she touched the dark bruise on Annabeth's cheekbone.

"Sorry, I wasn't fast enough in practice yesterday," Annabeth said apologetically.

"Oh well, nothing that can't be covered up," Piper shrugged, then sorted through the containers of foundation and concealer. Growing puzzled, she looked through them twice, but she couldn't find the right one.

"Great," she groaned, "I bet it got used up today." She turned back to Annabeth. "We can mix colours, but I don't know if it'll be..." she trailed off, and Percy spoke up.

"Can I try?" he asked, leaning forward.

"Bringing out your inner Aphrodite, Perce?" Leo joked, but Percy just shook his head.

"Um, well, it's up to Annabeth," Piper said, gesturing vaguely. Annabeth studied Percy, then gave Piper a look that said 'humour him' and turned to her boyfriend.

"Go ahead," she answered, closing her eyes. Percy walked over to the makeup table and picked up a brush. Quickly going through the makeup, he picked out two concealers and got to work. Deftly, he ran the bristles through one colour, brushed it over Annabeth's cheek, then tapped it in the other one and did the same thing. He repeated the process once more, and the bruise disappeared completely. Percy then handed the brush back to Piper and returned to his seat on the bed. Then he noticed the looks on everybody's faces.

"What?"

"Man, that was definitely channeling your inner fashionista," Jason said, and Leo chuckled.

"Oh. No, I just learned to cover marks like that when I was younger," Percy replied, shrugging. Then he looked around the circle of faces again.

"What?" he asked again. He didn't realize that his friends were all remembering the stories he had told them about Gabe Ugliano.

I'm back! And I haven't  updated in almost a month or whatever, and I'm a horrible person, and I'm sorry--you know the drill. I am sorry, but I've given that speech so many times, you guys don't need to hear it again.

Anyway, I know that this is cliche, and horrible and whatnot, but whatever. I kinda like it, so I'm publishing it.

Comment, message me, I dunno. Do whatever you want.
