Parent Series - First Night Home...

Harry: You have spent all day holding him and passing him to other people but eventually Anne argued that you have to put him down. Later in the evening when you and Harry are both asleep he hears the tiny cry coming from the baby monitor. He gets up and you stir around and take a deep breath before yawning.

"Where are you going" you ask quietly not hearing the sounds of your baby.

"To the bathroom I'll be back" you nod before turning over in bed. You were exhausted and Harry insists that is why you didn't hear (Y/S/N).

He moves to the room quietly and stalks to the crib where the child is laying. He puts his hand under the fussing child's neck and the other hand under his bottom then lifts him to his chest.

"Hi buddy" he says quietly. "You aren't in mummy's tummy anymore so I can imagine how weird you must feel out here." He starts and pats his butt to quiet him.

"No heartbeat to listen to and nothing to keep you warm like mummy but we are always here if you need us, if you need to be warm then mummy and I will cuddle you. We will always keep you safe"

Liam: You have been awake with her all day. Considering that most of your time in the hospital you were sleeping. Liam was the one sleeping. You had put the baby in the bassinet and say right beside her all day. You've been just watching her. All  she has done so far is sleep but you can't move away.

"Babe do you think maybe you should eat something" you shake your head at him.

"M'not hungry"

"Well she is going to be sleeping for a little while why don't you go eat"

"What if she wakes up and I miss it"

"Babe do you want me to go get you something"

"Would you mind" he shakes his head then kisses your hair.

"I'll be back"

"Just surprise me"

"Okay"

Louis: He has slept for the most part. The baby is very quiet and only cries when he is hungry. You could tell when he needed changing, so he was okay there but you were sort of relieved that he slept a lot. It gave you some time to sleep and rest up.

Then as you were sleeping and he starts to cry. You sit up quietly and check on him. When you pick him up he cries harder, then Louis wakes up and sits beside you,

"Are you okau"

"Yeah I just can't to get him to quiet down"

"Here try this" he moves your hand to his bottom and he starts to pat it. The baby starts to quiet down to a low fuss and Louis smiles "there we go" he kisses your temple and lays his head on your shoulder while you put your baby back to sleep.

Niall: He was awake most of the night. Sleeping all day made little (Y/S/N) energetic during the night. While Niall was tending him you were left to catch up on sleep. He had taken him around the room a couple time showing him all the decorations and toys he picked out for him.

Then he showed him the picture of Arnold and himself shaking hands. Niall kept looking at it, he teared up as he rocked the baby back and forth.

"He was the best golfer in the world. And you are the best baby and son in the world and even though Arnold was great you are better and I would have loved for you to meet him."

Zayn: He wouldn't even let you get up. He would do anything that needed attention. Any little whimper or cry Zayn was there waiting to do something or pick her up. He feels so guilty about missing appointments and heartbeat sessions and everything he just wants her to know that he loves her. She may not understand but he does love her and he hopes someday she can forgive him for not being there.

All night long he would wait by the crib waiting for her to move so he can adjust her or get her something or change her. He just waits and waits and waits and when she finally moves he can't get up fast enough to do whatever she needs
