Pregnancy Series - Braxton Hicks...

Harry: You feel a sharp pain in your lower tummy while you and Harry lay in bed. You shift a bit but then you feel it get worse.

"Oh, ow, okay"

"What"

"Something hurts"

"Where"

"Ow!" Harry rushes up and throws on pants and a shirt then socks and shoes. He grabs your bag and helps you up. He helps you get dressed and helps you down the steps.

"We will just take you in and see to be safe alright"

"Kay" you say through the pain then squeeze his hand. The drive to the hospital is long and painful but when you get in there they separate you and Harry before they get you into and examine table and start checking everything. They feel the lower half of your body only to discover that nothing is happening.

"Ma'am we have some good news nothing is wrong with the baby but your not in labor either you have Braxton hicks contractions." Then you redress and they wheel you out to Harry who is shocked that you aren't holding a child.

"What's going on is something wrong with my son"

"No Harry it just Braxton hicks."

"Oh thank god I was so scared and they wouldn't let me see you"

"I'm okay" you whisper and he helps you up before you leave to go home.

Liam: You were already at the OB for a checkup when you feel a sharp pain in your belly.

"uh I think that I'm going into labor" You say to her and she looks at you.

"What? It's too early to be in labor" Liam rushes.

"Let me take a look" she washes her hands quickly and examines you. Liam keeps his eyes close while she examines you and listens to your small wails of pain.

"Well Mrs.Payne unfortunately you are having Braxton Hicks pains. But you are not in labor the pain should only last a little while longer but if they get worse or closer together I'd suggest going right to the hospital"

"Okay thank you doctor"

Louis: Louis has lived through all of his mothers pregnancies, so he knows that almost every time a weird pain happens its nothing. But when he is with you and you feel a little bit of belly pain he starts freaking out.

You were at Jay's house when it started happening. You were just talking to Deakin about being so close to your due date and how you were excited about meeting the baby. Your demeanor changed and he noticed

"Well sweetheart it looks like you have quite the football player in there."

"Yeah" you laugh nervously but it kept happening and every time you would shift it would happen again.

"Lou, I think you might want to get in here" he calls and comes over to you and puts his hands on your stomach.

"You okay" he asks, Louis comes in and has a hissy fit. He yanks you up and hauls you off to the hospital where they send you back home because it is only Braxton Hicks. He informs Deakin right away so he knows that nothing is wrong and you're fine.

Niall:  You had eaten a lot of spicy foods recently, like more than you have eaten in a long time so you kept getting these little surges of pain in your stomach and it would happen every couple of minutes so after it got really close together you had called Niall at the dvd store.

"Niall something is happeneing"

"What?" He panics "youre not due for another week or two. Oh my god" he throws the dvd on the counter and rushes out the door. He rushes home and carries tou to the car and eushes you to the hospital. They takw you in and make Niall stay outside whilw you get checked out.

Every nurse that passes him looks the same to him so he asks if you are okay to everyone that passes by. They all give him the same answer.

"They are taking care of her sir, please be patient" then he sees you and the doctor walk out and he smiles at him.

"Just some Braxton Hicks contractions. She is okay, she will still carry on as normal unless this happens again. Then she could actually be going into labor."

Zayn: You were already on your way to your doctors appointment when you got this heavy pain in your lower stomach. It was horrible and you could hardly bare it. So when you got to your doctors office there was almost no one there so the doctor saw you right away. You confessed your pain to her and she had checked all your vitals right away.

"So what is this am I going into labor"

"No, you are having what they call Braxton Hicks contractions. They are very common through the end of pregnancy, you and your baby are both fine." She tells you

"So nothing is wrong"

"No, this is just the body's way of preparing for birth. Your ultrasound looked very good. You can pick up a copy at the front desk. Remember if they don't stop go to the hospital."
