You two garden together...

Harry: You had been out here for almost an hour, you have set up three full plant boxes of plants. You had the labels all out in front of each section so you would know, you could tell the difference anyway but you still wanted to do one thing at once before getting yourself mixed up. Harry has been good, he has handed you plants and you put them in the box.

But he wasn't paying attention to you after about the second time you asked, you look and he is watching a bunny leap around the yard. You grab a plant without looking and put it in the hole you have set. Then you grab the last plant and place it in the hole before you finally get his attention.

"Will you put the mint sign and the oregano there" you point

"Are you sure that this is mint and not oregano" He questions. You are absolutely sure which is which because your mother taught you how to tell the difference, well he doesn't know the difference and he thinks you do either.

"Well if youre not sure take a bite of it" You point to the small plant in garden box. He takes a small piece of it mindlessly and then chews it up a little bit.

"Tastes like dirt"

"Because you're eating dirt" you laugh. He spits to his side a few times before running to get the hose. He opens his mouth and sprays it out.

"This is the last time I garden with you" He spits a few more times before you tell him which is which for the fifth time.

Liam: He said that since he and the other boys would be taking a break for a little while he asked you if there was anything you do during your free time that you could possibly do together.  One thing came to mind, gardening. He said he would try it and see whether he liked it or not. Of course when Liam was a child he would help his mother now and then but never really caught on.

So you bought a few flowers and got to work. You had Liam make a flower bed, spreading out dirt, weeding it, making sure its all even to plant on before you give him a few baskets of flowers, he starts at the end and opens a small hole with a trowel.

"Okay so I just set them in and then put the dirt back"

"Yep that's all" Meanwhile you are almost finished with all of your flowers. You have them all in before Liam is on his second bunch. You go over to him and dig the hole, he places the flowers in and then you move the dirt around and tap it flat.

"Is that all you have to do"

"Yes babe it is, its pretty simple, you try it"

"Okay" He says. He makes the last hole and sets the plant in before putting the dirt back and tapping it flat.

"There you did it!"

"Yay" he cheers, you hand him a watering can and he starts to water all the plant but his hand slips and he gets your top. His eyes go wide and you take the watering can from him and dump water on his head. "Hey"

"Nope too late" You laugh and run in the house with him running right behind you.

Louis: "I will not go play in the dirt for enjoyment"

"It will be fun please Lou"

"Why its just a bunch of dirt"

"Please, I wont stop asking until you do"

"Fine!" He gives in and comes outside with you, you pull him down to kneel beside you in the grass as you even out the flower box. You hand him a box of flowers and dig the holes for him, he places them in the box carefully even though he thinks this is a total waste of time. He smooth's down the dirt and waters them. He watches your small hands do the same thing. When you finish he stands, brushes himself off, and huffs.
