Aldenbert

Hailey and I entered our bedroom and we both know that we are engrossed about Karoline. I know Karoline wouldn't just come here just to sleep. Heck, she wouldn't even leave such a beautiful condo just to sleep in our place. I know and I highly doubt that something must've occurred that made Karoline want to leave.

"Hailey, you were the one that talked to Karoline over this, right?" I asked Hailey as she sat on her side of the bed.

"I suppose you're right about that, Alden. I just called her to tell her about us, and she found a way to lead me into that conversation. Is something wrong, Alden?" She asked as she slowly leaned back and rested her head on my shoulder.

"I know Karoline won't just sleep here and leave Trot's condo like that, Hailey. I highly doubt something must've happened." I boldly told her. She just gave me a quite shocked expression.

I guess, I do have a point. This is leading us to something.

"I- I didn't notice that, Alden. You have a point. I wasn't oblivious with what's happening. God..." She paused as she gently held my forearm and shot me a worried look.

Something is really wrong in here.

"What's wrong, Hailey? Please, tell me." I told her as I slowly caressed her hand and gave her a sympathetic look.

"You know, Trotseer never forgets and events even if he is extremely busy, I know your brother, Alden-" She paused.I recalled some events that Trot may have forgotten but, I clearly don't remember him forgetting things. Heck, he doesn't even forget any holiday- working or non-working holiday- and I know, my brother in too clever to forget things.

"-You see, the other day- when I was about to move in with Karoline, I was about to come into Karoline's restaurant when I saw Trot exit her restaurant. I was curious, so when I met up with her, I asked her why he met up with her and told me he settled a date- which was supposed to occur today. I asked her about that and she told me to just drop it. Maybe that was the thing?" She opened up and told me.

Maybe that was the reason. But, I know Trotseer- he would never forget such thing. I still doubt that that's not the ony problem we have here. I need to finf every detail about this.

"I still doubt that that's the only thing, Hailey. I need to know every detail about this." I hesitantly told her.

"But, how could you know everything about this? I mean, we haven't hear Trot's side-" I cut her off.

"We should give him a call?" I suggested. She just nodded in agreement so I grabbed my phone from our nightstand. I dialed Trotseer's saved phone number and gladly, he answered it.

"Hello?" I was greeted with a drunk Trot.

"What happened, Welkins? Now's not the time to get drunk, " I got straight to the point. Hailey gave me a worried stare and looked back at the phone where we are waiting for Trotseer's reply.

"Brother, I love her from the first time I saw her but things are complicated. I even forgot our date- which I was not supposed to forget but, I did. I feel like I am the dumbest person in the universe." and I heard  him gulp another glass of alcohol.

"What do you mean things started getting complicated?" Hailey asked, completely nervous.

"Well. I- tomorrow, I expect my face to be in the papers where I was with another girl, but trust me it was business, there were lots of businessmen with us but I think they plotted this brother so I tried my best to defend it and today was really and came home late, but at least, I was able to buy her a bouquet of flowers but, I didn't get the chance to say sorry because we had an argument already until now, I- the tone of my voice was really high since I was really finding a way too vent my anger and stress, but I didn't intend to scream at her." He explained.

"Well, find a way to apologize if you are serious about her, If you are serious about her." I advised.

"Thank you, brother. I can assure you that I'll find a way." He greeted me as cut the phone call.

"That's probably a bigger problem, sweety, Karoline has no idea about this. He should explain." Hailey whispered. as she laid down the bed and gave me an assuring smile.

"I guess we need more explaining- Trot needs more explaining to do." I told her as I laid down the bed and turned off the lamp and slowly closed my eyes.

"Goodnight, Hailey." I whispered.

"Goddnight." She whispered back as we both drifted to sleep.
