The party had raged for a few hours, and most of the guests were either passed out or gone. Now all that remained were the Avengers and Maria Hill, who were gathered around a table. The New Avengers had finally joined them since all of the unfamiliar partygoers had left. Thor had just explained how the hammer worked, and how no one could possibly pick it up.
"But it's a trick." Clint said, stationed next to Natasha, twirling an arrow.
"No, no, it's much more than that." Thor stated.
"Uh, 'Whosoever be he worthy shall haveth the power'. Whatever, man! It's a trick." Clint argued.
"Please, be my guest." Thor said, gesturing to the signature weapon.
"Come on." Tony challenged.
"Really?" Clint asked.
"Yeah."
"This is gonna be beautiful." Rhodes said.
"This is gonna be painful." Sam added.
"Clint, you've had a tough week. We won't hold it against you if you can't get it up." Tony teased as everyone laughed.
"You know I've seen this before, right?" Clint said, trying to pick it up. He failed. "I still don't know how you do it!"
"Smell the silent judgment?" Tony asked.
"Please, Stark, by all means." Clint said.
Tony got up.
"Here we go." Natasha rolled her eyes.
"Okay. Never one to shrink from an honest challenge." He said.
"Get after it." Clint spoke.
"O-kay." Hill said, trying to get the best view.
"Ten bucks says he tries to use the Iron Man suit to lift it." Peggy whispered to Steve.
"It's physics." Tony said, grabbing the weapon.
"Physics." Bruce agreed.
"Right, so, if I lift it, I then rule Asgard?" Tony asked.
