She smiled at me as she ate her dessert.

Mariya, my sun.

My moon.

All the stars in the sky.

Mariya, is the one that makes my world go round and I felt so stupid that I never realized it until now.

Her platinum hair in the classic two braids made me smile when she swung her head and they flew around her. To see her, my princess, all dressed up and having the best night of her life made me feel like I was succeeding at being her hero.

I felt that it wouldn't last though, deep down inside did I really love her or was it just out of pity and I just wanted her to be okay?

I shook the thought out of my mind and took a sip of my drink and then a bite of my cake.

"How's your dessert my dear Mariya?" I asked her being super polite like a prince would.

She raised her fork up slightly and giggled. "I think it needs more chocolate syrup on it!" She exclaimed profusely.

Laughing at her I finished my dessert and drink before excusing myself to the bathroom. After a few wrong turns and hopelessness I asked a waiter where the bathrooms were and he kindly pointed me towards them. Finally getting to the bathroom I did my business and checked my phone quickly after washing my hands.

I had a notification that said I had a new email. Displaying it on the screen I read it confused.

Dear Mr. Kito Ramano,

I am glad to inform you that you have been accepted into the University of Tokoyo with a half scholarship. Most expenses have been paid and we are happy to have you in our school's orchestra. You have excelled greatly in academics and in extracurricular activities.

With your leadership and excellence, we are proud to announce you as first in your class for the entrance of your year 2016-2017 year here at the University of Tokoyo.

                 With congratulations,
                          Headmaster Takamodo

I was so surprised at the message I had totally forgotten that I was in a bathroom on a date in a restaurant.

Quickly making my way back to the table that Mariya sat at I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that I couldn't remember ever even applying to the University of Tokyo. Or the fact that I'll have to move away from Mariya and live in a dorm four hours from here. Plus the fact that I'm a whole year older than Mariya too. . .

"What took you so long in the bathroom Prince Kito?" She asked sipping on her mini milkshake.

I started to sweat nervously and put on a crocked smile. "They're was a long line my dear," I said whipping my brow.

"You also seem overly happy, did something happen in the bathroom line?"

Coming up with another lie is terrible, I know. But it was to protect Mariya. "I got a message saying that my package arrived," I said which isn't actually a lie, a package of mine did arrive at the hospital.

"What kind of package?"

"The one that has a book, a movie, a TV series, and a video game in it. I get it every four months since it's so expensive."

"Sounds reasonable," she giggled as a waiter came over with a check for me. I grabbed the receipt and looked over it. Pulling out my wallet I handed her, along with the check and a tip, a credit card from my parents to pay for the dinner.

With a brisk nod and 'I'll be right back' she turned and went to one of the many computers in the restaurant.

As we waited for our waitress to return Mariya and I chatted some more and made some jokes about how they needed to build a cat café here since the closest one is in Tokyo.

The waitress handed me my credit card back and I put it back into my wallet when I stood up from the table to help my princess.

Taking her hands I lifted her to her feet and put her purse in one hand while I used the other to hold her hand. She shrugged on her coat and left her gloves in the pocket of the purse.

"Thank you for dining with us tonight and we hope you a wonderful evening and safe journey home," said a waitress near the front door.

Mariya and I both chimed a 'You're welcome' and a 'You too!' before making our way back into the car that was waiting for us a little ways down the street.

I helped her in and slid in next to her and closed the car door. "How was your dinner Miss Mariya and Mr. Ramano?" Ellie asked as she drove us back to the hospital.

"It was so lovely!" Mariya said with ecstasy.

I laughed at her slightly. "It was very good, I think we should go back for a second date soon. What do you think Mariya?"

"I would love that!" She snuggled into my shoulder. "Thank you Kito. For everything."
