"Judging by the way you're walking Mariya, it's safe to assume that you are starting to favor your left leg over your right," Doctor Troist said as he bent my legs.

"Is that good or bad?" I asked worriedly.

"If you continue to favor it too long you may not learn to walk on your other leg. I would like to move you to a set of crutches now so you can put pressure on your right leg and not favor one. It'll be equal!" He said taking off my leg supports and testing the nerves in my knees.

I didn't feel anything and sighed.

"Now don't get all down in the dirt, you still have your hips to move you around like for the past few weeks. Your movement has improved and maybe in the near future I'll be able to do more for you."

"Thank you Doctor Troist." I grabbed hold onto the bar and he adjusted new crutches for me. Sliding one under my right arm and then my left I was slowly making my way around the room.

Giggling I went over to Kito and Ellie and we had a nice group hug. Before we left the room Ellie mentioned that they wanted to release me back into the real world in a few weeks since there was no need to keep me in the hospital any longer if I was mobile.

"But where am I going to live? I can't exactly live in the university dorms by myself and I can't live with my parents since they live two and a half hours away from Kito..." I slumped into a chair and bit my lip sadly.

Right when everything was going good, something has to come up and ruin it like always.

What will my friends think of me anyways?

Coming back a year later from a mental institute with crutches too.

It's just going to be the same thing as when I left. But I need to be back in the presence of other people besides Kito and Ellie...

"You can live with me," Kito said, "It shouldn't be a big deal. My parents don't know you and I think if we explain to them your problem they'll allow it," he smiled and sat down next to him and held my hand.

Leaning my head on his shoulder I closed my eyes and sighed. "Okay, we can try."

To be honest, I wasn't feeling like myself. My mind felt clouded from worry that I wasn't sure if I even was thinking. All I knew in the end was that I mumbled something about wanting to take a nap and ended up back in bed.

"Mariya?" A hand shook my shoulder gently. "C'mon princess, you have a very special meeting today and need to look your best," Kito said with a kiss to my cheek.

"I'll get up when I get my..." I trailed off falling back into my happy slumber.

"No, no, no, Miss Mariya! Up! Up! I will not let you sleep in because you had a long day yesterday!" Ellie's voice boomed around the room as she swooped me up and wisked me into the bathroom to clean up.

"There you are! All clean and primped! What do you think Mr. Ramano?" Ellie beamed after her hard work of trying to clean me and keep me awake at the same time.

"You did a wonderful job Ellie, that dress suits her well," Kito said taking my hand and kissing it before talking to someone in the hallway. "Well, the car is here so away we go. Now don't be nervous Mariya, I'm sure they'll just adore you!" Kito said wiping his brow and smoothing his hair back to look more presentable for his parents.

"Kito, I don't think I'm the one that's nervous here," I giggled while passing him on my crutches on the way to the elevator.

As we drove the agonizing way to Kito's house my nerves finally took over again and I felt like passing out or either jumping out of the moving car. But at the moment neither of those were an option.

The house was massive first of all, with giant trees and three or more stories (my mind stopped functioning properly when looking at the million dollar beauty) I felt so out of place.

And there they were.

Standing on the front porch.

His dad in a nice suit.

His mom in a gorgeous dress.

"Mariya, please meet my parents Lydia and Nicholas."

"It's nice to meet you!" I smiled cheerfully and extended my hand for a shake since it was the most I could do at my situation.

"Mom, dad, please meet Mariya, my girlfriend." Their attention focused on Kito and I swear I felt time pause.
