The Skype Call

Josh was away on tour. I missed him so much. We would Skype every night, but it wasn't the same. I wanted him with me, in my presence. I missed his strong arm around me. I miss out cuddles and how he would call me "princess" I listen to their music, but it isn't the same. Their music makes it seem like they are less far away. They are in Australia too. I'm stuck in (Y/H/T). All of a sudden, I heard my Skype ringtone that was Lane Boy and saw that Josh was calling me. It's 2:30 PM. Josh usually call at 7 or so. I got really worried that something was wrong.

I clicked "accept" on my iPad screen and Josh's face came up. "Hey baby!" was the first thing he said. I excitedly answered back, "Hey Jishwa, what's up? You never call this early. Is everything okay?" He said, "(Y/N), I have some very exciting news! I get to come home early!" I couldn't even speak. I was totally agape. Why is he coming home early?

"Josh, why, exactly, are you coming home early?" Josh then explained to me how Tyler had gotten really sick and couldn't continue with the tour. I felt bad for the smol bean. I was dating Josh, but I loved Tyler too. In a friendly way. Anyway, I couldn't really believe that Josh was coming home after like 30 years so I basically just started crying.

Josh saw me start to cry, and he said, "Babe, why are you crying?" I just smiled/cried and expressed how happy I was that he was coming home in the weirdest way possible. Me and Josh caught up and he eventually had to go. I hung up and just lay on the couch and day dreamed of being with Jish. I wondered when he was going to get home. I wanted to think about him all day so I cleaned the house and daydreamed the whole time about having Josh's strong arms wrap around me and keep me warm in the coldest nights.

I was so lost in my thought that I didn't hear the doorbell ring until the second time. I went to go open the door thinking that it was just some mail. Nut nope. Josh stood outside the door holding some flowers and having his adorable squinty smile. I gasped and jumped into his arms and hugged him like I would never see him again. I whispered, "You're home, you're home" over and over again into his camo jacket.

After a while, we went back into the house. Josh was really tired from travelling so we decided to watch Forrest Gump on Netflix. (A/N: If you love this movie you are my fren) We stayed up until about 11 and Josh carried me up to our bedroom and we cuddled in bed for the rest of the night. Best homecoming ever.
