Chapter 22 [Baby's First Birthday At Hogwarts]

It was on this day exactly one year ago that young Jasper was born, a few people would be turning up to celebrate his birthday, he was a happy child, has a loving father and mother, he squealed as he played with his food, Dino tried to feed him but he would rather wear it than eat it.

The students had finished their classes and rushed back to their common room. Harry, Ron and Hermione had been dressed in the speed of light. They had never met any of Dino's family.

Beth knocked lightly on the door to their chambers and was greeted with a food covered Dino
"Remind me why i had a baby" she smiled. Severus wrapped his arms around her waist and smirked after kissing her neck
"When a mummy and a daddy love each other, the-" Severus started but Dino closed her hand firmly over his mouth. She raised an eyebrow and shook her head while looking at him
"Mr Slytherin, i think its a bit to late for that talk" she raised an eyebrow then smirked kissing his lips. Beth made a spewing sound and pushed the two apart
"You two are as bad as love-sick teenagers" she scoffed and took a seat on the couch.

Eventually all of Dino's family showed up. David, Veronica, the twins, the triplets and of course Dumbledore turned up. Severus walked out of the bedroom with Jasper in his arms, Jasper was wearing a pure black baby robe with a smile on his face. There was a soft knock on the door so Dino went and opened it to be met with three small students
"Potter, Granger, Weasley" Severus' baritone voice drawled from behind Dino
"What are you doing here?" He asked in a bored voice
"Because i invited them, don't be so mean Severus" she swatted her husband on the arm and let the three young students past. Severus rolled his eyes and made his way to David and started up a conversation about vampires, they interested him.
"I can tell he really loves you" Dino heard Rebekah speak from beside her. They had managed to get their relationship on track. For a long time Dino wished to know who her mother was and now she finally has that chance
"And i really love him" she smiled as she watched her husband talking to her father
"So you're not mad at dad?" She asked her mother, she would be mad if Severus ever did that to her
"No. He deserves to be with the one he truly loves. He found his soul mate, and I'm not going to stand in the way of that" Rebekah walked off to the kitchen and poured herself a small cup of tea.

Dino was sitting down by her little son, watching as he tried to pop the small colourful bubbles that Severus had bewitched. He was so small and had no idea how much his life was in danger. The dark lord could kill him easily and Severus and Dino would be heartbroken, but she loved Severus, she would stand by him no matter what, she was saving lives by doing what she was.

"Mama" the small voice of Jasper called joyously to his mother. He had a little present in his hands. The wrapping was red and gold, Gryffindor colours. Dino looked over to the three troublesome Gryffindors but they didn't look like they'd given him something. Next she looked over to Dumbledore, he had that knowing twinkle in his eyes, Dino always wondered how that was even possible, a twinkle. What was this? Sprinkle fairies? She giggled to herself at that thought. She pulled baby Jasper into her lap and helped him rip a bit off then let him do the rest. She looked around and noticed there was somebody missing, Remus. As if on Que. Severus sat down beside her and nudged her arm gently
"Its the full moon tonight. He cant be around the students, he could hurt them" nodding her head she understood what he meant. Remus was a werewolf.

The party had finished and everyone had left. Dumbledore helped Severus clean up while Dino read to Jasper and put him to sleep. Dino stood and watched him sleep for a while until she felt two strong arms slink around her waist. She flinched not expecting Severus.  He sighed a bit knowing that she would still flinch, no matter how long its been
"Sorry love" he whispered into her ear seductively, slowly he nibbled her earlobe
"I didn't mean to scare you" he whispered once more into her ear. She linked her fingers with his and smiled
"Look at what we created" Dino whispered gently and looked down at Jasper. Severus did the same and smiled softly, his son was his everything. Severus knew that bringing a kid into the world during something like this was crazy.

Together they lay cuddled together on the bed, sheets lightly thrown over them, they had been up all night going at like wolves. Jasper had slept peacefully through the night. Lily and James both had been trying to talk to them but Severus wouldn't have any of it, his family came first, always. Not some friendship he once had with someone, although Severus missed her, he wasn't going to get back into her life, he couldn't handle if she died twice.

Hey all i am so extremely sorry for this late update, started course and I've been really tired and also having some problems, a friends boat capsized and he's still missing, presumed dead. I know i normally try to make it 12 pages but I'm tired, thank you for reading my books.
