Chapter 5 [Karkaroff Escaped]

Dino and Beth were having a girls day out, it was a Sunday and they found themselves at Hogsmead, she had her father back, had twin siblings and also had triplet siblings, you could say she just needed to have a calm day with a friend, Severus agreed to watch Jasper and David wanted to talk to Severus so she went to Hogsmead.

Severus and David sat on the couch in awkward silence
"So you married my daughter" David broke the silence, he wanted to make sure his daughter was with someone who truly loves her
"Yes" he simply said in reply, he didn't really know what to say
"So how did you two meet?" David asked as he sipped his coffee
"Albus Dumbledore told me i had to give her Occlumency and Legilemency lessons, if it wasn't for those she still would be with those adoptive parents of hers, or worse, in the hands of Karkaroff" Severus explained to his father in law
"What did she tell you exactly?" Severus asked once more to the man in front of him
"She told me that he beat her and forced her to sleep with him" David told him, Severus hated the way Igor treated her and wanted to kill him
"Shes stubborn, she argued with me for days before giving in to my lessons, when i found out she made me promise not to tell anyone, which i did not, i promised her id make sure he'd never touch her again, she kept telling herself to be brave, she told me what you were going to name her if she was a boy and what it meant, and she was brave, when he went after a Gryffindor she protected her, told Albus what he had done and then told the ministry, I'm very proud of her" Severus told David, this man smiled as he heard of the things his little girl did
"My little girl isn't so little anymore" he sobbed, as much as he wanted to cry he was a vampire and no tears could fall
"Then she had little Jasper, she caught me singing to him and telling him how to make potions, his birth and our wedding were the best days of my life, second would be the day she trusted me and the third would be the day i met her" Severus explained to David, he was truly happy that he found love after Lily
"What do you mean trust? Like when she trusted you enough to tell you what happened? Or was it when she trusted you and gave herself to you, i know you two had sex i mean thats how you conceive a child" David smirked as Severus' face lit up
"Yeah, but this is awkward, you are her father and I'm her husband, all fathers want to kill the men who sleep with their daughters" Severus told him as he scratched the back of his neck, this was a weird conversation
"You are a strong man Severus, i trust you with my daughter, you gave me a grandson, my first one, i could never hurt my daughter like that, shes a grown woman who can make her own decisions and I'm glad she has you, you protected her when i could not, and i thank you for that" David told Severus, with a pop Vixen the house elf appeared
"Master, Mr Dumbledore wishes to see you and Mr David sir" he cowered away, Vixen was always scared of Severus, especially now since the baby is here
"He said its urgent" Vixen spoke before apperating away, Severus and David both made their way to Albus Dumbledore's office

Meanwhile in Hogsmead, Max had joined the party of two making it a party of three
"So Maxy, am i going to be getting an invitation to a wedding anytime soon?" She asked and his face lit up firetruck red
"Im not drunk enough for this conversation" Max spoke and tried to take a sip of fire whiskey, Dino had pulled it from his hands and gave it back to the waiter
"No alcohol for you, i am your teacher and cannot allow you to get wasted" she smiled at him and Beth and Max scoffed.

Severus and David walked through the door to the old headmaster's office, they wanted to know why he had called, what could be so urgent
"You called for us?" Severus spoke making Albus aware of their arrival
"Yes, take a seat" Albus motioned to the seats he just conjured up
"What is it?" David asked before another word could leave the mouth of a very worried Severus, was something wrong with Jasper? Or Dino? What was going on? He thought to himself, he was scared
"I just got a letter from the ministry, Igor Karkaroff has escaped Azkaban, he could be going after Dino, we need to keep her safe, and Jasper" Albus spoke, Severus heart sank, his love was in danger once more because of Karkaroff
"Surely he wouldn't be stupid enough to go after her, right?" David asked Albus, he to was worried for his daughter and son in law
"Im not sure, Igor is a man who keeps to his word, I've known him a long time and not once had he strayed from his word, we need to keep an eye on her and Beth" Albus told them both, Dino and Beth were now in danger, they had to protect them.

Igor had watched them from afar all day, he wanted her, only her, she was the only one who could satisfy his needs, he wanted Dino, not Beth
"You will be mine!!" He growled to himself, he would get her even if it was the last thing he'd do, He stalked towards the Three Broomsticks and hid in the shadows, he would wait for them to come out and he would get her, he could think of all the things he wanted to do to her, his sick little mind was excited.
