Chapter 30 [Good News Through The Bad]

Dino held his hand gently, his hair laid beside his pale looking face on the pillow. he risked his life to save Max, now he might. she hated the selfish thoughts she had been thinking, she didn't understand how she could think such things like that he should've left Max, it was just that she was scared of the unknown. she was scared that he was going to die without at least saying goodbye.

tears slipped from her reddened face as she closed her eyes and kissed him, she began o sing to the man she loved. "If you get there before I do, don't give up on me. I'll meet you when my chores are through. I don't know how long I'll be. But I'm not gonna let you down, darling wait and see. And between now and then, till I see you again, I'll be loving you. Love, me." the older medi-wizard had asked Dino to step out while they did more tests to see what was wrong with him, she let his hand slip from hers and made the slow walk to the corridor where her friends were waiting.

Dino paced the floor of the hospital as she waited for news on Severus' condition. Through the night Severus woke her as he struggled to breath. He told her something was wrong and he needed help. she remembered it clearly. it haunted every waking minute. she wouldn't be ok until she felt him wrap his arms around her tired body.

Molly walked down the corridor of the hospital with Arthur and Percy. Dino didn't really know Percy but he seemed alright. They were there to pick up the girl. Vera sat silently next to Beth who had gone back to sleep.

"Molly, how are you??" Dino welcomed the family, they talked as they made their way over to Vera. "Vera, this is Molly. You will be staying with the Weasley's. I promise me and Severus will come and visit when he's better. But they will keep you safe. You will grow up with a family, everything will be OK".

After their long goodbye Beth and Dino sat next to Severus' hospital bed. The doctors told them that he would wake soon. He was fine, it was nothing serious. Dino grabbed his hand "I'm pregnant" she uttered. She had no idea who she was telling, but she knew that at least one person was listening.

She would be having another child with Severus. Another. Child to love, to hold and Severus would be there with her.

she faded into darkness and she fond herself in a dream, a memory of someone from Durmstrang.

his sallowskinned face held pain as she passed the young boy in the hall, he was two year younger than her. he had dark, emotioness eyes, voids in th yong boys life. they showed pain but she couldnt understand what had happened. she didnt know the boy long enough. she hadnt even spoken to him.

she continued to walk down the hall to the highmasters office and knocked, the door opened with a hollow creak. in front of the dark oak desk stood a man, a man that woud soon b the reason for evey sleepless night the girl would be plauged with.

his smile wa vile, he teeth rotten. his eyes ere the darkst colour of pain and torture, she wanted to run, but the man had done nothing. it would look silly if she ran from her highmaster.

"sir??" she asked, she never took her eyes of him, he scared her. aftr all. this was an all bys school, why would she be here??

"you have been such a naughty girl, Miss Ryans" his vile smile grew bigger and he drew his wand from his robes. within seconds he had the doors locked with a spell she didnt know, she had no way of escaping his meaty fists of torture.

she held a straight face, she tried to show him she would never be scared. she soon realised she could not move, he reached out to touch her delicate face with his calloused hand, his nails gross like his teeth. he cackled as she tried to pull her face away from his hand, it was no use.

"ive been waiting for thus day for a very long time, ever since i killed your no good father!!" he spat in her face. up until that point, she was never told how her father had died, nobdy woud tell her. nobody had the answers she was seeking until now.

she fought back the tears the were threatening to face, she couldnt show him how his words cut her, how the broke her down. she had to be strong. she had to lock away her emotions from the vile monster that stood in front of her.... but it was slowly becoming impossible.

his hand caressed her hip, but she could not swat his hand away, sh was still stuck in a standing position. "i will have you soon my dear" he whispered as he brought his face to her ear, she was disgusted with this man....

she woke the a hand shaking her, she jumped away from the hand only to realise who the hand belong to, she calmed herself down at the familiar face, he was awake.

"are you alright?" his groggy voice questioned, she took a deep breath. "perfectly fine" Dino smiled.

"no you're not" his voice low. "why didnt you tell me earlier that you were pregnant??' he tried to sit up but she placed her had on his shoulder and gently pushed him back down.

"i was planning to tell you at the party, Beth mentioned a slow dane and i was going to take you out back so we cold dance, i was going to tell you then. but everything happened.

"where's Vera??" he asked when he noticed the girl was nowhere in his sight. Dino smiled.

"shes with Molly, thats the best place fr her right now. the children can make her happy. Molly and Arthur can look after her" they could, Severus and Dino couldnt do anything from the hospital. they couldnt look after her.... not yet.

"and Jasper is with my father, he wanted to spend some time with Jasper". she took his hand and sat down, the were both extremely tired. they both fell asleep.

Hello all. a lot has happened since i last updated, i moved and now i have a kitten which i called Padfoot.... reminds me of Sirius, thats why i named him Padfoot.
