Okay. :D So I did a double update. Haha. Well, it was a few hours apart, but still. I hope you enjoy this one as well. :D I'm blaming this chapter for not being able to memorize those annoying axial and appendicular parts and functions of the skeletal system. All because of this chapter, I tell you!
Thanks everyone. :) You make failing school worthwhile. LOL.
Chapter Ten- Live a Little
I wasn’t exactly thrilled to walk back to that party, but I had to, anyway. Besides, I was growing a little thirsty. The music still made me cringe. It was still loud from the garden, but at least it wasn’t this loud. This was like having earphones in your ear, but the max volume is pretty much as loud as a speaker.
Great. Other than beer, I don’t think Cam had anything else prepared.
Cam.
I was suddenly thinking of him again, and how he made me stay in that garden. It was like he was some sort of mysterious dude. I found myself suddenly thinking of the possibility that he could change or something, for the better, though it was unlikely. At least it wasn’t entirely impossible.
Still looking for something else to drink, I suddenly found myself pushing past sweaty people, some, ew, even checking me out. I was looking for the kitchen, actually, because somewhere there, there ought to be some water.
“Shea?”
Oh, God. Even with the music, why did I hear him?
I pretended not to hear Blake. That way, I wouldn’t have to turn around and see him with that girl beside him, with his arm probably wrapped around her waist. I’ve had enough drama for the night. So I just walked on.
“Shea!”
Why on earth could I hear now? It would have been better if I hadn’t, really.
So while I pretended not to hear him, I tried to manage finding the kitchen. Of course, I managed to get lost. This house is, like, a freaking mansion. How many problems could Cam possibly be dealing with for him to have his issues?
That was beyond me by now.
It might have been fifteen minutes by the time I found the kitchen. It would have taken five minutes, really, if there weren’t so many people.
How could this be considered fun? I mean, three random people already elbowed me, miraculously hitting the same rib, which is now throbbing with pain. And I’m pretty sure that if I was somehow made of clay, I would be flat now with people squashing me on both sides.
I went straight to the fridge, when I spotted my brother with his friends and, of course, Cam. In any case, I would have preferred to stay as invisible as possible.
So I hid through the crowd as I walked to the fridge, not that it did much, really, because there were apparently less people here. Seriously, why were there so many people there, and so little here, when the birthday boy is here? Do they even know whose party this is?
Reaching the fridge, I pulled it open. More beer (seriously?), some pop tarts, but at least there was water. I took a pitcher out and straightened up. And when I closed the door and turned around, I immediately shrieked.

Humor‘He went out of the room. In his boxers. Again. Like the laws and principles of the universe, which were scientifically proven, I couldn’t help but scowl. He smirked. “Well, stop drooling all over me.” I wrinkled my nose. “Right. Good luck with you...
