Julias was running towards the kitchen "Mary? Where is Mary?" Julias was yelling "right here! Sorry Julias I was baking the cake for young Elijah's birthday" said Mary "that's what I wanted to talk to you about, the day will be spent in the combat training ground instead of the library, Elijah and Clara both agreed it would be fun to spar for a bit" said Julias "oh that's nice but wouldn't miss Farry be a bit worried?" said Mary "that's also what this is about, please don't mention this to Farry" said Julias "of course Julias my lips are more sealed then a chest" Mary said smiling as she headed towards the training grounds with cake in hand.

"Elijah that's unfair" a kid said "it is fair Nick I can control it" replied Elijah "Jarmak tell him" said Nick "he does have a point Elijah using magic to trip someone isn't really fair" said Jarmak "well if he expects to join the guilded army fighting against magic users is something he'll have to figure out" said Clara "yeah I guess she's right" said Nick as he stood up and held his wooden sword up high "well I call a rematch" Nick said "but this time you can't use a weapon Elijah" he continued "that's fine with me" replied Elijah as Nick ran towards him with his wooden sword nearly hitting Elijah's arm but Elijah dodged out of the way then splashed water towards Nick but Nick blocked it and immediately ran at Elijah nearly hitting his abdomen but it was blocked with stone "enough you two" said Julias as he walked outside holding his hand up casting the stone shield for Elijah "you're both equal in power Nick in strength and Elijah in magic" said Julias lowering his shield rune "father you didn't have to stop him." said Elijah "yeah; I was about to win" said Nick "well technically Elijah could've blocked it, or jumped really high so I'd call it equal" said Clara "you two can settle it after we sit and enjoy this cake" said Julias with a chuckle in his voice "oh, what flavor is it?" asked Jarmak "it's cocoa, from the eastern side, I had my buddy Hasok send me some" said Julias "cocoa? Isn't that really expensive?" asked Clara "it sure is, but it's worth it for all of you to enjoy yourselves" said Julias "and it took a little fortune for your gifts too" said Farry from behind Julias "and what are you doing back here? I was in the library waiting for you all" said Farry "well I thought I'd let them practice a little, it was Elijahs choice anyway and since it is his birthday I have a gift for him" said Julias as he pet Elijah's hair a laughed then gave him The necklace he had for so long does since the war "wow this looks ancient father" Elijah said "it belonged to your uncle before he passed" Julias said as he hugged Elijah "well a heads up would've been appreciated" replied Farry "oh yeah hello children" Farry said facing Nick, Clara, Elijah, and Jarmak. Nick was sitting on the table, Clara reading in a chair next to Elijah, Jarmak questioning the books literature And Elijah was enjoying a big piece of cake "this tastes like highthair in my mouth!" said Elijah smiling with his cheeks full of cake as Julias and the rest laughed just as a guard ran up to Julias "sir, there are things attacking the civilians in square B" said the guard rapidly and out if breath "calm down son tell me everything" Julias said as he turned to the kids and said "Kids head to the library, everything will be alright I promise" he said as the kids and Farry ran inside "Julias please stay safe" Farry said before heading inside. "come on then lad, we're heading towards square B" said Julias as the guard panicked "b-but sir" he exclaimed "it's already been overwhelmed by force" he said "fine then you stay here and tell Farry to try and contact Bouthe through the book labeled Only way" Julias said as he ran down the main stairs to the street of square A

"mother what's going on?" asked Elijah "nothing dear, just practice on your reading" said Farry just as the guard walked into the room "madam Farry, sir Julias told me that you should contact Bouthe through the book labeled Only way" he said to Farry "of course, please watch over the kids sir" said Farry "of course madam" he stated as he stood at the only entrance to the library "what's going on?" said Elijah "I don't know but if anything tries to hurt any of us, I have this" nick said as he pulled out a steel dagger with the catalyst markings "where did you get that Nick?" said Elijah "I took it from the armory on the way here to the library" nick said "you shouldn't just take things without asking!" said Elijah "yeah well maybe" nick was saying before Jarmak cut them off "now is not the time to be fighting, we should be planning if we get attacked and by what it is that will attack us" Jarmak said "dark creatures, and they appeared in the middle of the city in square B. Could it be?" Clara said quietly "what was that Clara?" said Jarmak as she got up and picked up a book about gods and abilities "what's that?" said Elijah curiously as he peeked into the book and Bouthe appeared out if nowhere causing the kids to jump back with fear "Bouthe!" Elijah said happily "I'm so glad to see you" he continued "Elijah, Clara, Jarmak, and Nick I have set a rune around this room and we have reinforcements coming in from the west and east, stay here and if anything happens when I am away, just hide they cannot detect life forces when the rune is active" said Bouthe "but what are they?" said Nick just as Bouthe disappeared "Kunkin" Clara stated "it's Kunkin, gods of death and ruin, the beginning of the end" she said looking at the book.
