I didn't really expect this......

Chapter 3

Tiana's P.O.V

It feels like I've only slept for a few minutes but I can hear somebody crying. It's 5:30am and my mom's on the phone. I go down to the hall and I realize my mom's crying? I say " Why are you crying?" she puts the phone down and doesn't answer. Then she blacks out.

I pull her towards the carpet and splash water on her face, but she doesn't wake up. Shit! I think she's having a stroke! I quickly call an ambulance and she's rushed to a hospital. After an hour of waiting the doctor says " Your mom had a heart attack but she'll be fine tomorrow, but she won't be allowed to go home till next week." I say " Can I ask her a question?" He says " Ya okay."

He takes me inside and leaves me in the room with my mom. My mom says " Hey Tiana." weakly. I say " What happened mom? Why were you crying while talking on the phone?" There's a long silence before she answers. She says " Your dad met with an accident yesterday. He was rushed to an hospital but he didn't make it. Even his friends died in the crash." I don't answer. This sounds so crazy! I'm a fatherless child! My mom's a widow! I don't have a dad anymore! I get out of the room and I send a message to Lavender and Sasha saying:

Won't be able to come to school today

:'(

Tiana

I just hope what I'm seeing right now is a dream. It better be or I'd run away. I bite my hand really hard until blood comes out. When I feel the pain and see the blood is when I realize that it's a reality. I don't know how to face school tomorrow. My wound continues to bleed heavily but I don't care. I find the day's newspaper and I go through it. One of the articles is about a major accident caused by a truck. It says that four men died and one was injured. The fellow driving the truck was injured while the men in the car were dead. The men dead were Robert Clay(my dad), Derrick Russel, Thomas Fishermen and Terry Wilson.

I get a message from Lavender saying:

ik wt happened.

I'm so srry.

Better not 2 cum 2 school

Lavender.

My hand doesn't stop bleeding. In fact it has stained my top and pant. I'm kinda feeling weak. I continue reading the newspaper when I hear Peter's voice "Are you crazy!? Stop your hand from bleeding!" I look at the direction he's running from. He comes over to me saying "Let's take you to the doctor!" I say " Leave me alone and first tell me how you know that I'm here?" He says " I got your message!" I say " I don't have your number!" He says " I saved it on your phone when you went to the washroom." I say " The message was supposed to go to Lavender and Sasha." I check my phone and realize that instead of clicking on Sasha's name I clicked on Peter's. He pulls me to the first aid and they say I need stitches. That doesn't freak me out 'cause I'm worried about the future. The doctor cleans my hand and stitches the bite but I don't feel a thing instead I'm dreaming.

When he's done Peter takes me out and says " I'm so sorry about what happened to your dad. Please forgive about my horrible behaviour. That's kinda weird. The way he's talking to me. I say " I'm not coming to school today. Probably even tomorrow." He says " Okay I understand." I say " If Meena says anything about me and my family just ignore her." He says " Oh.....okay." He says " I don't think I want to go to school today either." I say " If your absent as well they'll suspect us on......" " Okay I get it." he breaks in. He says " Then I'll have to leave for home see ya in the evening." I say  " Okay then bye!" and he leaves.

I get a message from Lavender saying:

Why did u send a message to Peter anyways?

I thought u'd send a message to Sasha instead.

Lavender

I sent her a message back saying:

It was a mistake.

I clicked on Peter's name instead of Sasha's

I then head to the hospital canteen and buy a bottle of water. The surprising thing is that I don't cry.
