This is probably one of my favorite chapters. I'm smiling just thinking about it :))) Plz vote and comment.

Also in this chapter there are a couple song references. I suggest that you guys play the song on youtube or something when u see the title for the best effect. Its only a suggestion, you dont have to do it. The first one is on the side.

Chapter 7

We made a pit stop about halfway through. We stopped at a gas station and while the boys were refilling their gas tanks, we entered the store. Along one wall, there were booths for people to sit in and have lunch. We sat at one of them, Van sitting next to me on the inside with Amber sitting across from us. Van, as per usual, was texting on her phone. Amber was searching through her purse for something. I took the time to look around.

The store was pretty small. There were coffee machines by the cash register near the door. An area for people to order food was along the adjacent wall. There were aisles of groceries and snacks in the midst of it all.

“Anyone want anything?” My attention returned back to Amber who held a wallet in her hand.

“You're going to pay for all of us?”

“No, you’ll give me the money and I’ll order for you,” she replied as if the idea of her paying for us was practically impossible.

“You’re so generous,” I said sarcastically.

“I know right!” She laughed as I pulled out my wallet from my back pocket.

“Alright, I’ll just have a hot chocolate. What about you, Van?” She looked up at me, completely lost. I rolled my eyes and said, “What do you want?” She made a big O with her mouth.

“If they have Pringles, I’ll have some of that.”

“The hot and spicy kind, right?” Amber asked as she was getting up.

“Duh,” Van said and gave her the money. I tossed Amber my wallet as she backed away.

Just at that very moment, Rodney and Jordan walked in the door. Automatically, a smile claimed residence on my face at the sight of Jordan. That was when I noticed the staring contest happening between Amber and Rodney. They seemed frozen in their spots. I grinned wider just watching them. Those two were definitely on the verge of dating. I could see it happening in my mind. I finally understood what Van meant about them both being so perfect for each other. It made me want to believe in soul mates. My eyes shifted to Jordan at the thought of soul mates and I realized he was staring at me intently. My butterflies multiplied and fluttered around in my stomach as I stared at his eyes. They were so blue and they reminded me so much of the boy from the night before. My smile faded as we continued to stare at each other.

“Will someone please take the time to stop staring at the other and get me some Pringles?!” Van’s voice brought us all back to reality. By all, I meant everyone in the store. That was how loud her voice was. Amber walked off without a word and Rodney followed. Jordan pulled up a chair and sat next to me in the middle of the aisle.

“Why don’t you sit over there?” I nodded over to the bench Amber had occupied not five minutes ago.

“What? You don’t want me to sit next to you?” I couldn’t tell him that he was dead on. I couldn’t sit so close to him without getting carried away like I’ve been doing all day.
