Diana~Aries
I was sitting on the couch, watching "Supernatural" on TV when Rufino walked through the doors to the Fire House living room.
"Do you think that we have to fight like they do here?" I asked him stupidly. Sam and Dean were in the middle of a fight sequence and I watched as they moved quickly in fluid motions.
Rufino shrugged and sat besides me. "I guess, in a way," he said.
I groaned and stood up, handing him the changer. "You don't have to watch this if you don't want to. Change it to something you'd like."
"Where are you going?"
"I'm feeling a little light-headed. I'm just going to go for a little walk around the place."
I started for the door, my head swimming. It started just after the training between the guys from Libra and Gemini. It has been changing from feeling light-headed to massive headaches, and I don't know why.
I slipped outside just as I heard the TV change to a Spanish channel, and I made my way down the hall. I passed the other houses and headed for the library.
"Hey," a voice called out from nowhere, making me jump. "You're the girl who helped me up when I fell from the sky in the library."
I whirled around to find Ezra behind me. He had a grin plastered to his face, and he was leaning against the wall.
"Yeah, that's me," I muttered. "Some stunt you pulled there."
He shrugged. "It was an experiment. I love to invent stuff. Diana, right?"
I nodded and twisted the bracelet on my wrist quickly, not knowing what to say next. There was an odd silence.
"I'm going to the library to find something to read. Want to come along?" I asked.
Ezra shrugged again. He straightened himself upright and walked over to me. "Why not," he said. "I'd like to see if I can get some more ideas for inventions."
~~~
"Where did you get the idea for a pillow shirt or something like that?" I asked Ezra as I pulled a thick book from a bookshelf. It read "The Ultimate Guide to Supernatural Superpowers," and I shoved it back into it's place on the shelf.
"Um, I fell down the stairs once and I thought that a shirt that had a pillow should be invented."
I looked up at him, my eyebrows raised in confusion.
"I'm dead serious," he said.
"What else have you invented?"
"Shoes that can make you taller with a tap of a button, a necklace that can take in the heart rate, a book that is waterproof, and a phone that can talk back to you when you are bored."
"You mean Siri?" I asked. I grabbed another book and pulled it off of the shelf.
"Steve Jobs took my idea on that." He rolled his eyes. "I looked up to the man, too."
Chuckling, I opened the book. It was a book on the history of Triplicity, written by a woman named Tessa Malone. In her biography, it said that she came to Triplicity when she was sixteen, but made a big mistake and had a little girl when she was eighteen. While she was pregnant, she decided to research Triplicity and wrote a book on the history of it.
"What do you want to invent next?" I asked, my eyes skimming the pages. It was full of information, and I shut the book and tucked it under my arm.
